I think you guys are reading the statement too literally.

Try reading it again.

The implication is that ME3's time has passed for him.

Goddamn.

Quit getting your panties in a bunch.

Reading too literally? Really? How does that work? :P

He clearly made a blanket statement about the game and its community, not about himself.

What he might have meant is not what he wrote.

Tell that to all of my warnings for "abusive behavior"

as well as my very lengthy 2 week ban that happened once for telling NuclearTech that they were a scrub and needed to get good.

To be fair, it was a true statement.

Everyone knows I am a scrub. I have a fancy badge and everything.

He was wrong and it was pointed out. End of story.

Its time has passed? Says who? There are still many people playing it every day.

I have jumped into ME3 every now and again since "leaving", both solo and with friends.

From my perspective, I've exhausted the game. Maxed manifests, solos completed and all the teamplay times too; of which there were most. Mass Effect 3 drinking games on teamspeak... ahhh, those were the days.

A game doesn't keep being fun forever, but some of BSN appear immune to getting burned out by playing "every day". I guess if you still have friends who regularly play, it's easier not to become burned out. Certainly, other than playing single player again or the occasional solo every 4-6 months, I would not normally play Mass Effect 3 without friends there also.

The same thing happened with Warframe... we moved from Mass Effect 3 to Warframe, and over time, we played that to death as well... and drifted away from Warframe too.

Playing so much shootmania has made me remember how much I value more "sociable" (non-competitive, in other words) gaming. Hopefully Killing Floor 2 will provide many hours of funzies as well. I also have high hopes that Mass Effect 4 will have the same kind of magic.

When I played Mass Effect 3, until February 2013 I was unemployed and suffering from severe depression. Hence why I had loads of time to sink into it. I've more recently been diagnosed with body dysmorphic disorder, after actually seeking treatment. With any luck, Mass Effect 4 will be something I will love to jump into and play a few games / rounds of after work, which I will be able to cultivate the same fond memories of in time.

I took the Saboturian for a spin. And then after a couple of waves I remembered why he was on the shelf all the time. So I put it back on to never be touched again.

Depressing.

Giant Jug shields always getting in the way. Especially now with no HVB mods.

Which is why I don't have it or use it.

That sounds amazing I would have loved something like a cryo based salarian soldier.

Yeah I was thinking about this again today when I woke up.  So the kit would have had:

Fortification

Energy Drain

Cryo Grenade

Passives

Fitness

So you get damage reduction and power damage from Fortification.  You open with Energy Drain to strip shields, stun mooks, top off your own shields, gain damage reduction which stacks with Fortification, and prime enemies for a Tech Burst.

Then you immediately throw a Cryo Grenade to slow enemies, weaken armor, detonate Energy Drain for a Tech Burst, prime enemies for a Cryo Explosion, do AoE damage, and look freaking awesome.

Then you shoot your gun and do ridiculous damage.

Against mooks, this is plenty powerful.  Against bosses who would still have Shields/Barriers, you can Cryo Grenade then Energy Drain for those sweet Cryo Explosions.

This could also work as a Sentinel by trading Fortification for Tech Armor.  I actually would prefer this option because I love to flaunt stolen technology, and Tech Armor is pretty flamboyant.  I just can't decide which race to steal it from!

With any luck, we'll get one of these for ME4MP.

As much as I rag on them for being the lesser tech race, 2 salarians compared to 4 baterrorists, 3 vorcha and 4 goddamn volus is thematically quite silly. I mean, we nearly have as many of a Council race as playable Collectors.

Still, SP salarians for the most part (exept for that badass Kirrahe and his buddies) do decide to be whiny babbies and not help you with anything unless you extinct the krogan, which is sort of dickish, so I guess it canonically makes a little sense that you only get a few.

Many of our leaders are decidedly self-serving, and should not be interpreted as representative of the majority.  I'm sure most races could say the same for themselves, Quarians no exception.

As for the Salarian Soldiers you met ingame, they held the line, and did not whine.  It's too bad we only got to hear about Virmire; seeing it in action would no doubt have been the stuff of legends and movies.

Your support for the deployment of additional Salarian Soldiers is noted.

It was funny. No one's feelings really got hurt by that. There's a thread on the front page that has outright offensively racist jokes in it that haven't been deleted and no one suspended, so I don't get it.

Snitches. The mods don't bother reading anything until someone reports it.

Actually, I do, but I won't say it. Instead, here's an unrelated image.

Why does anyone still play this game?

I had lots of fun playing Mass Effect 3. Met some great people in this game. Now I, I like to look back on all those times with a sad fondness; the bittersweet memory of something which was great while it lasted, but it's time has now passed.

Because I get bored after a couple of games and can switch it off... means I get to bed at a sensible time unlike when playing some other games I've got :)

Number of times I've had to apologise to my other half for waking her up, crawling to bed in the wee small hours of the morning, saying something like "Sorry, Ghandi declared war on me" ... or "I was just trying to sort out some congestion around my airport" ... or ... yeah.

Don't forget to put on a pink dress first. And clown makeup.

I find it depressing when you join a game with 3 Geth Juggernauts.

Last time that happened, I switched to a Juggernaut myself. The host promptly changed the lobby to Platinum and I thought "eh, whatever". Was a very smooth game at 25min or so. Full extraction.

The one I had was not so smooth. Collectors on Hazard Glacier. The Juggernauts kept being taken down by the giant ball of death, and I was the only one who was completing the objectives.

I wonder why I've STILL got 0 warning points, even after I challenged one of the mods and called them sexist.

I'm pretty sure. :P Or if I did, context would correct.

I've been playing Battlefield 3 recently a little, after MONTHS of playing Mass Effect.

Within like five seconds I had already thrown a grenade at the wall, promptly just to blow myself up.

It's taking some getting used to. :)

In Mass Effect, I find it depressing when there's a objective inside the Reactor. It's an empathic depressing. I can't resist the urge to push the button and fry everyone. I just can't.

I pause for a moment, and I'm like, "... Must... resist...".

And then I go ahead and push the button anyway.

50% of the time it ends up being a team wipe, probably because I've been sync killed just after I've pressed the button.

I kinda enjoy those, you've got three big bullet sponges and i play a fast character so you get to run around the map killing stuff without anyone getting in the way. Sure you've to do the objectives yourself but otherwise it's quite fun if the juggs are even half decent.

I always press the button before anyone else gets there so no one can fry me when I'm doing the objective inside.
