This is my first shooter on PC since back in the Doom/Wolfenstein 90s so it's been a real struggle so far. Not being able to move/aim (especially at the same time) properly is really hurting my feelings. I know it's supposed to be easier on PC but not when you're first starting out. Going from holding your own in Gold/Platinum to struggling in bronze is so sad for me lol. I really like that there's no auto-aim and you can move the camera while running though. That's a big improvement over the xbox version. One thing I don't understand is reload cancelling on PC. It barely exist in single player and in multiplayer you have to use the medigel button instead of just a power so that has been a rough adjustment as well. Has anyone else struggling when switching from one system to the other?

In all seriousness, map it to your scroll wheel on your mouse.

Play some Unreal Tournament GOTY Edition everyday, that will accelerate your progress. Try to use the Flak Cannon as much as possible to develop that twitch reflex needed for PC shooters.

I didn't have as much trouble, but that is most likely because I had already gamed off and on the PC for years now. However, going fully over to Keyboard and mouse was a little uncomfortable until I bought a proper open moue pad and a better mouse for gaming. One thing I will say is if you have one of those small office mouse pads junk it, you want to get a nice large mouse pad with lots of room for movement. Also spending a little to get a mouse with some extra thumb buttons gives you more options for bindings without having to move your fingers away from the movement keys. As for reload cancelling just bind the medigel quickslot to a convenient key and use it to cancel the animation.

WASD for movement. SPACE for running/use/revive/cover and powers to mousekeys 3, 4, 5.
Keep the other stuff to somewehre you can easyly reach from WASD.
If you can't use a mouse correctly ... well ... I don't know.

Yep. Kind of the opposite though, playing games on a controller is not, never has been, and never will be a thing I enjoy, in fact would not be exaggerating to say I hate it, but a turian fangirl's gotta do what a turian fangirl's gotta do and there are turians on PS3 I gotta go out with

Depends on the game - Streetfighter would suck on mouse/keyboard for instance ![]()
... but then, Streetfighter has no Turians so that's unlikely to be an issue you'll encounter.

I like caps lock personally. I prefer to keep my mouse fingers on the buttons. They already have plenty to do, unlike that left pinky.
OP, you'll probably be pretty used to it in a few hours. When I first started playing ME2, I kept staring at the sky every time I unpaused because I kept thinking I needed to reposition my cursor. It only took a few missions to break that habit though. Once your used to it, you'll realize everything is better with keyboard and mouse. Except 3D platformers. Playing them with K&M is an abomination.

Switching from 360 to PS3 is still torture for me. Even with my new PS4 gamepad. Sony just doesn't know how to make a comfortable gamepads.

Due to circumstances at this time of year, I've mostly been playing PC for the past few weeks. A couple days ago. I managed to get some Xbox time and I struggled to do anything at all accurately. It took me 5 waves to be able to hit anything reliably with my SMG. And then the host left on wave 8. ![]()

That has nothing to do with PC and everything to do with Dark Souls. Just not a good port.

I have a friend that actually learned how to play a little bit from using just the keyboard. Granted, he got streamrolled by those of us that had sticks, he still learned the basics.

MK is gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarbage. I'm just surprised it's not worse than Injustice. (But the netcode might be, even though it's copy/pasted from Injustice)

It's a fine port...as long as you have a 360 controller.
