Well as I said it's been a while since I played the game, so they might have changed something. All I know is that I was very far away from maxing out unlocks in Warframe with 90 hours played. I imagine I'm even further now since they've probably been adding content while I wasn't playing.

Although for me variety is a big deal. Getting a Javelin I adds to variety of my weapons, but getting Javelin II to X doesn't. It just makes the numbers slightly better. So what I was more getting at is that it took me a long time to unlock things in Warframe but not as much in Mass Effect 3 even if A. you don't have control over what unlocks and B. upgrading URs to max is a large grind itself.

Although the RNG does suck for the game and should be revamped for the next one to limit how badly it can screw you over.

I also bought plat and got much of the primes and such through trade to save me some time. Still a valid method though.

I guess you were lucky then in the ME3 MP department. Yes, I do hope for ME4 MP, the RNG isn't as bad.

Oh, i was observing WF for more than two years now since U2 when i received CBT invite. And yes Warframe is not the game it could have been. It's much worse.

Oh btw. Is this "fun" includes fighting level 150 mobs on a tactical alert? Is this fun includes spamm of Prism or Radial disarm on Trial? mm?

For the first part, I can respect your opinion on it, but I also have my own.

For the second, I never said it was perfect. Some of the tacticals should have been towned down, but overall it was good. Yes, spamming irradiating disarm then slicing them or shooting is fun to me since Loki P is my main.

Eh, I don't really consider buying it with real money to be a valid solution to a grindy unlock system.

The problem is that then developers create stupidly long grinds to "encourage" you to spend money. I get that it's a free to play game and they gotta make money somehow, but it just feels kind of cheap to do it in that way.

Especially when that's all the grind is there for. People are generally a bit more accepting in a game like World of Warcraft because of the scope of the world and playing with thousands of other players all at once.

Plus one class in WoW has more complexity even with all the simplification they've done than a single kit in Mass Effect or Warframe.

For the normal weapons, I did the 12 hour wait and everything. I was more referring to the primes which other players farmed.

Also, you can't compare hotkey MMO mechanics like WoW or FF14 to a shooter. Yes, they are both MMOs, but one has a core shooter gameplay while the other gameplay is more associated with traditional rpgs. They are totally different beasts. Comparing Warframe to BF, COD, and Halo is a better comparison.

I'm comparing the grind length, but a game like WoW is more bearable because of how the game is designed. Even though these days, the grind in WoW is less than that of Warframe or Mass Effect.

Which is why micro-transaction games can be annoying at times, because they make unlocking things without real money so incredibly grindy to try and get to you pay money rather than creating a decent rate of progression.

Which in Warframe's case, I just ended up getting bored with the game.

I can see that. I wish there was a sub-based game which was like Warframe and ME3 MP, Defiance which I could play, but alas, there is not so I have to stick with Warframe.
