Thats literally impossible, since some of our imports involves Alistair being dead thanks to Anora. So no, it does not apply to all Imports, and thus cannot be applied to the greater whole.

I frankly couldn't care less if Gaider said Alistair still does that despite being dead. Anyone who says something like that frankly has no credibility to me because that is pathetic story telling.

No, the events still happen despite him being dead. Ofc he doesn't do it himself. But he does it no matter what his state is if he's alive.
