I am just like you in hating shield boosting/kill nothing Volus players. When I am a Volus, I am a team player that will revive you/ shield boost when I hear your character scream they are about to die.. (if they are near me) . I ran into a group last night with Mics yelling at me/ berating me.. to stay near them to be only used as a Shield gas station. Which I did not do and was called selfish everytime they died/bled out.   On the opposite side of that when I am playing as a Volus...... I actually enjoy killing things with them. If you run into a Harrier Sentinel Volus..thats me...Sometimes I put a scope on it....Claymore Volus Adept..probably me...Spitfire Engineer...me...Tell me about your Volus builds/ weapon combos    everything you enjoy about the characters   ...(here is where I lose BSN points..I have only done the VolGuard wave challenge only once..I did the charge/nut punching combo..was fun for 2-3 matches then it lost its appeal to me)

Volus are only good for support so quit being a butthole and do your job.

1) find QMR's Claymoar/ Widow equipped quarian
2) follow around. Spam shield boost right when in the middle of reloading in CQB with a Fantum
3)MySoup/ Bosh'tet/ bleeding awwt/ eimdown

Competent Volus players are always helpful, though usually not in ways that are obvious to another player focusing on his or her own job.

 

Some pugs just don't understand that, I guess. The same is true even here. You do you. Cometh as any kit you want to play, and those of us who know how to make our own fun aren't really bothered.

Is the exploding decoy really worth it?  I usually go with a build like this (gun is random).  Am I doing it wrong?

Cometh as any kit you want to play, and those of us who know how to make our own fun aren't really bothered.

It's not that it does much damage but it does stagger and there are lulz to be had from the enemies' expressions

a real support volus will have a scorption so that won't be a problem.
