Hi,

I have been looking for this. Amazon & eBay have the Platinum version but it costs a lot while the separate parts are much cheaper. I do not have a Steam account and am not looking for one. Where else can I look for ways to get the complete NWN2 either all together or in parts? Thanks.

gog.com. It's often on sale there as well.

You can't get NWN2 on Steam anyway.  GOG is the way to go.  It has more in it than the Platinum version, too, since it includes Mysteries of Westgate, and Platinum doesn't.

Is that a physical product or download?

It's a download, but not like on Steam.  You don't need a special download client or game manager (though both are available as options).  You can download the installer directly from the web site in a normal browser with no plugins.  Once you download the installer, you never have to go online again, because the installer is self-contained and does not need to download any additional resources.  You can keep the installer, save it somewhere safe, and install it as many times as you want with no limitations, on any computer.  It's fully patched to the latest version, and uses no DRM.  Additionally, if you happen to lose the installer, or just need to download it again for some reason, you can.

Not sure about GOG now, I bought a different program from them and constantly crashing. Their Support never got back to me, their Facebook page said they would in about 48 hours but it never happened.

Was it Arx Fatalis, by any chance?

I bought the NWN complete collection from Amazon back when it was $25. Now it's up to $118 used and $160 new. Sheesh. Well I'm hanging on to my copy. :P Apparently there are still used physical copies of NWN2 available for $7. Bit of a risk, maybe.

Bought NwN2 again from GoG, no issues at all.
Now and then, they are bundled with NwN1 as well as other DnD games.

I got complete NWN2 from GOG as well. Works perfect.

Not only is GOG DRM free, but they usually update everything to the latest patches and make sure it works on latest OS.

In past several years I bought all my games through GOG, zero problems so far.

I did have problems with Arx Fatalis, which I bought from GOG, but I expect I would have had those same problems if I had bought it anywhere else, too.  I found an unofficial patch to fix it, anyway.

No, Starfleet Command Gold Edition.

I tried doing what a few others who got it working did, still no luck, it keeps crashing.

I followed what I could of GOG Support for the game, no luck.

Tried contacting them, no response.

I have seen others post of the same problem on GOG Forums but for some unknown reasons, I cannot even post there despite having an account.

I had a negative experience like that for a Steam game, Dark Star One, which started crashing/locking at a certain point somewhere in the middle of the game, and I was never able to finish the game.  Steam never responded to my help request.

GOG can't work miracles.

Most people with Starfleet game problem seems to be related to Windows 8.

GOG doesn't have the resources to actually re-write broken games, but I don't think there is any instance were GOG made things worse. They usually package up all the latest and best patches available, and provide a DRM free experience.

But GOG is by far the best place to get NWN2 IMO, which is the original question.

I have many old classics from GOG, but at some point a new version of Windows might break them, and GOG probably won't be able to fix them. I won't blame GOG if that happens.

Got the GOG sale, also found out my account had a problem, something about the email spelled wrong.

Still no word on SFC Gold.

I know what levels are needed to start the OC and MotB, what levels are needed to start SoZ and MoW?

If you create a new character, they are auto-levelled to the appropriate level (4 for SoZ, 8 for Mow, for races without an ECL).
