I am curious about the Templars. Not sure why she would need a nerf. But I'm still working on the templar banner actively i doubt it will slow me down unless it wears off before you have a chance to detonate. Can anyone tell us what the actual length us now (upgraded and not).
This is what I want to know too. You can normally detonate WoH & Spell Purge pretty quickly. How drastically was the time frame reduced and was it so severe that you can't detonate them fast enough?
I don't see anything in the list about fixing Stonefist detonations. Has that ability just been written off?
Edit: Luke confirmed in a different thread that fixing this is still on the list (high on the list, even), and I'm happy to hear it.
Meh. I'll wait to play it a bit. History has shown that patch notes are usually only 25% of Biower changes, since they think self-discovery is a valuable part of the experience.
EDIT: Would it kill Biower to actually add some grouping or chunking to its patch notes? I mean, that's something a rookie technical writer would know to do, but apparently that's too hard. In order to read all the multiplayer changes, I was treated to some really great spoilers in the single player! THANKS BIOWER!
Not sure I understand why the templar needed a kick. Who's heartless enough to haul a one trick pony off to the glue factory when its one trick is still useful?
Agreed, with not many good ways to get any real defense such as barrier or guard one of the few things to keep her on her feet was that combo. I would assume their stats show she racks up big points and such with the combo. If they nerfed that and buffed her survivability that would have been a better course of action.
Unless the add the ability to select a foe (Demons), there is literally no reason to pick the Templar over the Lego now. And even that is preference vs. effectiveness.
Not too happy about them nerfing the templar. I thought it was worse after the last time they did something to her, and now she's even worse. Guess I'll put her in the grave once I've promoted her.

The nerf doesn't sound too bad. Pretty negligible actually. Upgrading wrath of heaven or spell purge was something I rarely did anyway. I suppose the idea is that you need a larger stamina pool before you cast the combo because you have less time to regenerate stamina and cast the detonator.
Templar does fine on perilous. Somewhere in the middle of the pack I would say. Good use of shield wall and/or cover goes a long way.

Not too worried, assuming the only nerf was the shorten the stun length. 4 seconds is easily enough time to cast Spell Purge, and cast Unbowed while everything is still stunned.
But the question remains, why do they keep nerfing the Templar?
am I the only AW that doesn't use spirit blade? this change means nothing to me. I only play AW when i feel like MLG'ing it though.
I've always run the weakening tree with chain lightning.
AW was not nerfed for me, the build i use was unaffected.

there are cases where you don't have the CP yet and need to wait, but it was never more than two seconds.

Yeah, but what Bioware was trying to get at with this, im not really seeing it. Still more than enough time to do the detonation combo, which means all thats been "nerfed" is using it as a general stun ability.
There's going to be many AW users out there who will not be aware of these nerfs, and will be needing a lot more revives from their teammates this week.
