complain in team based  game about the AW I mean it was to player advantage...

there going to have fun fighting the dragon......

They certainly are going to have fun fighting the new dragons. I mean come on, its dragons!

The previous SB / fadeshield balance allowed the AW to completely ignore the rest of the team and was counter to team play. aw and solo-play with no reviving of others was overwhelmingly common, leading to decreased overall play experience.

The current balance requires more diversity of skill usage, if only one more skill.

Sorry medallian, but your group of speedrunners and yourself included are going to have to find other means of getting fast xp now that your precious crutch class has been adjusted.

If anything with your ridiculous amount of promotions and time spent on this game you should have accrued enough experience and skill to be able to provide beginners useful/insightful advice without telling them the answer is spirit blade mashing and mage class whoring. That is unless you have been mindlessly promoting and speed running this whole time.

And your argument about archer long shot and katari dps is highly debatable, because both classes aren't so indestructibly durable compared to AW.

Agreed, AW never promoted team play... 9/10 in pugs they'd run ahead of the team, when the rest of the team was in a treasure room and couldn't hold agro so they team would be faced to deal with the guardian aswell as a flow of mobs triggered by the Spirit Blade happy Arcane Warrior.

I'm enjoying the Nerf, the class actually requires skill to play. Much like the Reaver does now.

The messed up thing about that is -and I know it doesn't pertain to anything- how much douchebaggery his prowess inspired; Cilian is actually a pretty awesome dude.

Like, you'd expect the ancient, mystical super-elf to be a condescending, walking downer, but he's generally cheerful, friendly and accepting towards everybody.

I dunno, there was just always a huge cognitive dissonance between his lines and the air players controlling him gave me.

Its funny to see the people who don't yet know about the patch/nerf, they still run ahead, one guy was shouting in disbelief, he thought there was some major glitch.., ran ahead with full health, came racing back with red bar..lol

For someone so omnipotent as Cillian is in dragon age lore and previously in damp pre patches, why is he infatuated with ham And why is he a lowly field agent for the inquisition? I mean he wields the art of spirit blade mashing at its pinnacle of elven magic but gets insulted by an apprentice keeper.

I think he's more infatuated with the Reaver...

So, apologies for not being able to test this myself atm. But all that was nerfed on the AW was Spirit Blade?

Straight from the source (me!):

Mana cost up from 10 to 20
Barrier and Guard damage bonus reduced to 100% for both from 400/200
Also, the upgrade was secretly adding a bonus 100% damage which I removed as it was unintended

I always heard that as a euphemism for something not so very nice since it's usually said in response to letting some mages live in exchange for a funny story.

Thanks, Luke. Appreciated!

Glad to see people won't be pwning the dragon immediately with nothing but the AW.

Congratulations for making the character playable now.

Can you increase the walking speed of all characters to running speed and increase running speed by 20%?

Interesting, I'll listen to that again, I always heard that as 'friendly'...

I for one was quite sick of every Perilous PUG containing 2 or more AWs. Glad this will do something to help with that.

No mention of this. Might be a stealth fix or at least hopefully something on the to-do list.

Still a good combo to have to be honest.  2 AW with pull of the Abyss, a keeper with static cage and a good archer can destroy spawns before they get close.  Wave 5 however.....

It is definitely at the top of my list for bug fixes (along with how often Footsoldiers 'block').

Any chance, Luke, of possibly getting inventory to show up independently at dragonage HQ?
