It is definitely at the top of my list for bug fixes (along with how often Footsoldiers 'block').

Thanks for this, at times they last longer than more senior units.  One can deal with it during most waves but wave 5 is a problem when archers are pin cushing you as you flail away at the soldier.

Amazing, nearly WoW circumstances when classes are being nerfed. Sure, the player base is not even comparable to Classic and BC but the schadenfreude is here too. Now, only "F*** you bioware!!!!!1111" and "why u do this?" posts are missing.

Was AW hated that much? I've seen "i'm too good for you" players - who don't care about you, rush through and don't help if you struggle - with nearly every class. Today, a Katari with the Sulevin Blade who pulled the whole stage, didn't give a damn about us and then complained when he died.

What's a problem is being in stealth, attacking from the flank and still getting blocked. That should not happen.

And side note, you all realize those of us who don't use SB will still be OP, right?

Still OP, meh....still great would be the accurate statement.

I'm happy they nerfed the class without breaking fade cloak for other classes. And by nerfing spirit blade it will make the dragon fights a little more interesting, as I'm sure everyone was going to pull out their spirit blade AW's to demolish them. Anyone who played a knight enchanter in SP knows it would have been quite an easy task.

I solo perilous with 0 problems using FC, FS, CL and SF. And to the point where it's rare if they even dent my HP at all the entire run. OP for days.

U must have missed my point on the whole Dragon encounter. I think it may be a bit tougher to solo a mob with 50+ thousand hit points and high damage output with the build you just mentioned.

I think he's more infatuated with the Reaver...

'You're an interesting woman, Tamar.'

My preferred ship is Rion and Luka. Alchementalist. Putting the mental in... everything.

AW seems more on par with other classes, nothing drastic. I would not worry too much about not seeing AWs in the future - AW (and Knight Enchanter in SP) is fun to play.

Eh, I still think Rion/Belinda should be a thing. Listen to those two perky birds exchange banter; it's puppy love sickeningly adorable.

Plus, the whole mage/templar forbidden love angle.

They certainly are going to have fun fighting the new dragons. I mean come on, its dragons!

The previous SB / fadeshield balance allowed the AW to completely ignore the rest of the team and was counter to team play. aw and solo-play with no reviving of others was overwhelmingly common, leading to decreased overall play experience.

The current balance requires more diversity of skill usage, if only one more skill.

I kinda like when people leaves me on the ground, carrying my corpse till the end. I can alt-tab and do something else.

The most OP thing in this game is Longshot, combined with the passive which makes crit hits decrease CD.

Not really even close, I mean my base Cunning is only 28, and when I use an Archer with PBTM bow, I can effectively just spam Longshot over and over (occasionally I have to throw in a Leaping Shot, which causes instant CD on every power).

Yeah, you are technically squishy, but you can kill everything you see virtually in an instant, so it becomes irrelevant.

For people on my FL who have like base 130 Cunning scores, they use Griffon bow and spam Longshot and everything dies instantly on Perilous. These players don't use the Archer much, because they consider it too powerful.

Longshot is absurd.

As for the AW, guess I'll be running no SB builds from now on

I logged in just to "like" this post.  The number of soldiers with Jedi-like reflexes is concerning.  :)

I've not played yet, but I'm against this nerf.

inb4 anything

I only reached lvl 20 yesterday to help someone, and never promoted him but now I'll have to, thanks biower.

Most pugs, at least on my country, can't succeed a difficulty level (perilous) without at least one player with this class.

Also, this isn't ME3MP, thus I care about Cillian and nerfing him makes me a sad panda.

Oh, and I'm tired of the so called "pro players" complaining about OP builds when they, most than anything else, abuse of them, especially when they're unknown to the general players.

There's already a viable post patch build that doesn't need sb for perilous, so you don't have to worry...:)

I don't think hated is the correct word, and as you point out, it's the player not the class.  Saying that, the mentality of players that seemed to rambo was higher with AWs than other classes.

Its funny to see the people who don't yet know about the patch/nerf, they still run ahead, one guy was shouting in disbelief, he thought there was some major glitch.., ran ahead with full health, came racing back with red bar..lol

This.

I've not personal beef with AWs, balance or Spirit Blade, it was just hilarious for me watching people doing what they'd usually do, and going down without adapting their play style.

Presumably the energy costs mean they bottom out, and can't keep their Barrier up as before.

I'm sure people will work things out, either tactically or adjusting builds, but for now i shall revel in the tears of the AW rambos  ;)

Everyone will just use Mind Blast or Stone Fist now.

Also, if the patch actually closed the XP rejoin loophole than that is a bigger change than an AC nerf.

Yes I agree this is a much bigger deal. The "loophole" should have been left alone. While I get the idea of wanting to fix it, it practice it just extends the grind.

why is he infatuated with ham

Maybe "who ate the ham" is an ancient elven children's song, like the "who stole the cookies from the cookie jar" song.

Interesting.  Could be ye old ways of companion trickery originally called "try the ham," *meant to be spoken with a straight face*  And since it was not ham such a ruse became known as "hamming it up."
