It's a hyperbolic comparison, but I thought it was obvious my tongue was firmly in-cheek? The transfer analogy doesn't work, however, since it seems that this transfer happens (or can happen) with children, and there's no option to refuse. Employment laws vary by country, but as far as I know (in my jurisdiction) an employer cannot forcibly uproot you in the same way.

A better example would be a kind of communist allocation of resources.

My experience with BSN has made me think usually these types of statements (about anything) aren't said tongue in cheek.

Not true. The Anderfells boraders Navarra where much of the blight was at...It would still hit AnderFell. The one blight that did not effect the Anderfells was the 5th blight.

There's no mention of any battles in The Anderfels in the Third Blight. Not in World of Thedas or any other lore source I'm aware of. The Blight is only described as ravaging Tevinter, Orlais and the Free Marches. The only mention of the Anderfels is when the Grey Wardens in Weisshaupt pressured the former two to aid the latter.

In fact, the fact that it was in only those places is part of the reason why the two superpowers conquered and divided what would later become Nevarra.

Yep. :)

I'm curious if the non-Warden Anders were relieved to sit one out, or passive-aggressively jumped to volunteer to aid the other countries.

"You see, Tevinter? This is what 'helping' and 'being a decent human being' looks like."
