I played with the latest patch installed on PC and tested out KE in single player.

 

I notice no difference at all from KE single player pre-patch. Nothing has been changed. Either the patch didn't install correctly or the change didn't apply. If it wasn't applied, then I am quite happy.

 

I think instead of trying to 'fix' stuff that doesn't need fixing, they should focus on actual issues people have been complaining about. Such as the Amulets of Power not showing up. It's been two patches and I've seen loads of people complaining about this and yet it appears to have not been adressed at all.

 

 

Don't count on Amulets of Power coming back.  They were taken out purposely it seems as a "fix" to the complaint by some on BSN that they shouldn't be dupable because it ruined the game. :P
 

Sort of like the complaint that AWs were OP (although other classes can outscore them easily) and needed to be nerfed because they destroyed fun aka people didn't feel competitive/better than AW teammates.

 

Really neither should have been "fixed."  The people with issues about Amulets of Power could have easily have not used the duping exploit in their SP game.  The people who thought AWs were too OP to group with could simply not group with AWs.

Where did you get the information that the Spirit Blade mana cost increase (from 10 to 20) and bonus damage reduction is only for Multiplayer and not for "both play modes" ?

 

EDIT:  Nevermind, I think I figured it out.  Apparently the bonus damage was the unintended damage (from SB's upgrade) that was never supposed to be there and not the bonus barrier / guard damage.

So does this mean Spirit Blade will only do base weapon damage instead of 300 percent?

That... would really suck. I hope they don't nerf it too much.

 

Spirit blade is pretty mediocre, though. On a KE, it's Fade Cloak, barrier building through damage, and regular up-close spell casting that really made the class work. SB was more of a mana hog than anything, IMO.

Huh? The first sentence is a descriptor. It tells you what the next two changes will be about, and the first sentence is drafted to suggest the effect is limited to MP because it only mentions MP.

The improved beard fit alone makes me happy, though I still wish that the beards blended with some of the hairstyles a bit better.

Got a new issue now where a party character occasionally becomes unresponsive while fighting a battle in tactical-cam mode, usually Blackwall.  Leaving tac-cam and telling him to do something (with a button--the movement stick is unresponsive) usually fixes it, but by then, a lot of damage has been done.  I have shield wall X'd out in the settings, and I wonder if perhaps some buggy code is getting hung up on that?  Need to do more testing (Xbox One).

It's good it applies no damage bonus, damage is broken in Dragon Age to begin with. It's good to see Bioware trying to fix the numbers.

Hell, even if you choose to ally with them "Promoting Barris" side quet doesn't even function properly. As you need to judge someone to trigger the cutscene. >.>

This happened to me yesterday while fighting the dragon in Emerald Graves. Cassandra became stuck, and immovable, at first I thought the dragon had applied some kind of frozen effect on her. Never occurred to me to try jumping.

Fixed an issue which was allowing to run the game, now it won't start.

My archdemon mosaic is still missing a piece on the wall even though I collected them all. Yay to my nursery being complete now though!

OK, so this is definitely a new bug.  Three of us (so far) confirm it, and that's just here in this little thread.  I'm new to the forums, so I don't know where to go shake up the devs for breaking the gameplay.  The tech-support link takes me out of here to some weird locked-up EA forum (where I'm not allowed to post).

 

For completeness, I did a Restart Now on the system, which clears the cache and performs a full cold reboot.  No help.

This happened to me yesterday while fighting the dragon in Emerald Graves. Cassandra became stuck, and immovable, at first I thought the dragon had applied some kind of frozen effect on her. Never occurred to me to try jumping.

For the last couple of patches I've been seeing times where switching to a companion doesn't interrupt their actions (they remain under AI control). For a ranged character, this means they keep firing at their target, and they don't respond to WASD commands.

I've always jumped to get out of it, though I suspect trying to manually activate another ability would also break out of it.

It's severely annoying when it happens, especially when you're trying to move the character out of harm's way. They just stand there ignoring your commands, getting themselves injured or killed.

I'm not sure it's the same (I haven't played much with the new patch), but I'm not surprised by the reports here.

Hey all!

 

Sorry if this is the wrong place for this question, but I'm going a bit bananas over here, and this looks like the only Patch 7 discussion thread so far. Did the new thrones just show up for people after updating to Patch 7, or did you have to unlock them somehow? Because I've been travelling back and forth from Skyhold for a while since updating and they haven't shown up for me yet.

 

(And, yes, I do own both Origins and DA2.) :)

Seems odd to me that promoting Barris after disbanding the order was an option in the original release. I assumed that the whole Templar chain of command had been dissolved and their warriors integrated into the Inquisition's chain of command. It would have made more sense if Barris could be promoted to a role within the Inquisition (such as being Cullen's top lieutenant or something) if you opted to disband the Templars.

The dialogue is changed, with him being promoted as the Knight Commander of the "Inquisition's Templars".
