It's so ******* simple! The armor is in game, I don't understand why they continue to ignore this. Then the geniuses who decide whether it's worth keeping them as a playable race won't opt to do so in the next game, because no one wants to play a Qunari in DAI with the ****** lack of armor. We have ZERO racial armor, and can only wear less than half of what other races can wear. I've never seen such incompetence. /Rant
One thing you have to understand about Bioware (perhaps more specifically, Mike Laidlaw): They absolutely thrive on having this kind of control over gamers. They love how we beg them to allow us to wear armor at Skyhold, how we beg them for race-specific armor and access to a large number or armors already in the game. They love NOT giving us these things, because it makes them feel like they are in control. Makes them feel like they are in charge. They are the BIOWARE kings of lala land!
Meanwhile, back on planet earth, we see right through their lack of understanding of what fans want from an RPG game. Never before has there been such a huge disconnect between Bioware and their fans and that is an alarming reality that is definitely not going to advance them as a credible RPG company.

Sorry, but I'm inclined to disbelieve that. It's a great catch-all excuse, sure. But I know for a fact that you can tint the Skyhold outfit that appears under mage armour, so the mechanics are there. I also know that modders have implemented an armour toggle by "switching a 1 to a 0". I know that new hair would require work, but this? This can't possibly be too hard to accomplish in 6 months if the PC community did it within 1.
Edit: Besides, you said that was the response at launch. If you ran out of time then, fix it now! It's not like it isn't one of the most requested features or anything...
I work in IT - software development, to be precise.
If I ever told a customer that a feature will only appear if it is easy to achieve, I will probably lose my job.
We look at what features our customers want, and we get it done. It does not matter if it is simple or complicated to achieve. That is our job. Leaving out features because it is hard to implement is equal to incompetence.
As you also mentioned, there are things that have been achieved by modders who has no in-depth knowledge of Frostbite, using 3rd party cobbled-together tools, achieving things that are....too difficult for Bioware to implement into their own ******* game???
Mike Laidlaw must think we are idiots.
But in exactly 2 weeks from now, I will leave Bioware in the dust and never look back.
So if fixing a game in order to keep hardcore fans of DA is not important to them (Bioware) then I guess they can pretty much go to hell.

I want the mirror so bad, so I can change my characters eyebrows, she always looks so surprised
So excited, I can't wait
Don't understand the complaints, all bioware said would be in the black emporium is the mirror,
everything else was up to them to decide to put in there or not
Who knows, maybe the mirror took a lot of work, to get it working without bugs

So...
No new CC options, no new racial armors for Qunari, Elves, Dwarves, and "New" schematics are just items already in the game but now to can change their color.
Wow. I didn't have my hopes up *that* high. But I didn't expect to be disappointed in every way possible.

@Dubya75
well... not exactly true about the loosing job thing, especially if the gain is way way below the effort required to add the feature (what feature exactly, i kind of lost track of this thread). if implementing feature is a non-trivial task, job is to compromise, give options and advise.
besides... there is a middleman, you're not exactly dev's customer.
tbh i think BW cares very much about fanbase, so much they slap workarounds on workarounds, breaking the game with each patch to give us some of those features we whine about. but that's just it, those workarounds are not core changes, they are just high-level changes that feel awkward (free look, walk toggle, ...). blame design, frostbite, MP, bloated marketing costs (instead of development) or whatever you wish, this game won't be much more kb&m friendly even after dozens of patches.
i really do hope they do some adjustments to the engine based on feedback & patches released... you know, for future games.

It takes no effort to give us armors that already exist in the game. It also takes no effort to add an armor toggle to replace the pajamas. Adding new hairs and casual outfits would take a small amount of effort, sure, but the former certainly doesn't.
While I have zero optimism when it comes to Bioware, they could still add in these features, gradually, after this content settles in a bit. Not gonna hold my breath, though.

That can't be accurate, because it is now 7:02 am (EDT) which would be 4:02 am (PDT) and it still lists BE as "Unavailable" on XBox Live Market.

According to that source, only Dragonslayer, not BE, as BE is not mentioned in that schedule. And that explains my picture, why it states "Unavailable".

No, BE was released at exactly the same time. You're the guy that's asking if he can download it without GOLD, the answer is no. I have plenty of games that prevent you from dowloading DLC without GOLD, it's a crappy practice and doesn't look like it's going to end soon.
