This is one of the most absurd, petulant, narcissistic, martyr-complex-masturbation piles of nonsense I have ever read on the Internet.

Oh I do love when people are real honest about themselves, like you now. And 99% of time they don't even understand who they are REALLY talking about.

I didn't really expect much out of a free update but at least some amount of new items. And my low expectations were still greater. Most of the items are already in-game. Disappointing.

DA2 BE: The Mirror of Transformation; a collection of potions and bombs that you could buy elsewhere; a chest of low-level free stuff; high-priced weapons, armour and accessories; a number of unique codexes and Xenon's amusing chatter.

DAI BE: The Mirror of Transformation; a collection of schematics that you could buy elsewhere; high-priced weapons, armour and accessories and Xenon's amusing chatter.

I don't think we did so bad, considering it's free.

That's definitely Nick Boulton doing Xenon's voice! His voice just isn't as processed as it was in DA2. And I think he's doing a more prominent accent. Trust me, though, I've got an ear for these things!

I haven't downloaded it yet, but I hope this is the case.

I wasn't able to tell from the video that was posted (there wasn't enough there for me to really say one way or the other). The performance was definitely similar, but I just couldn't tell with the voice.

The dream is alive!

A, "no" is not the same as being ignored. (And the thing you want not being in BE is effectively an answer of "No".)

B, it's taking all my self-control not to post a picture of Glenn Close from Fatal Attraction right now.

That's my point, actually. They don't even like to give us a direct "no". Instead, they let us wonder for months until the description of the BE is finally revealed. That's not cool.

My question is whether or not the War Table information for the BE still spoils the plot of the game. Can anyone confirm for me that it does/doesn't?

It doesn't spoil anything. My question is is it available before Skyhold. If it's not, well... You kind of defeated the point of the mirror. Anyone know?

It is available before Skyhold and that's the problem:

Oh, my bad then. I don't remember it mentioning him. At least it's available then, but they don't seem to be good at avoiding that spoiler specifically. It can be mentioned by companions during banter before In Your Heart Shall Burn and continuously mentioned (instead of you know, The Elder one) in multiplayer weekend events despite not being mentioned by MP characters.

It's a free addition to a game that's already half a year old.

Sorry if it doesn't meet all your unreasonable expectations.

Is it unreasonable that Bio (patch notes)

1. Fixed some beards?

2. Fixed some eyebrows?

or is unreasonable that after patch 7

1. game load times take longer

2. some users report the need to repair the game after patch7

3. some users report their saves are gone?

What exactly is unreasonable to you?

Or do you find unreasonable any expectations from CC to gives us better hair?, beards?, hairstyles?  even some better gear?

Just asking

I want the mirror so bad, so I can change my characters eyebrows, she always looks so surprised

So excited, I can't wait

Don't understand the complaints, all bioware said would be in the black emporium is the mirror,

everything else was up to them to decide to put in there or not

Who knows, maybe the mirror took a lot of work, to get it working without bugs

                                                                                 <<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>

The blame Bio for failing to control gamers' expectations. This is community communications 101.

They are in this position because of concious (and some very questionable) design choices they made during the development cycle of this game. One of which was to ignore fan feedback or looking closely at what succeeded and did not succeed from previous DA titles in order to build a successful game.

Reply: "[Dragon Age: Inquisition] quickly became the most successful launch in BioWare history."

Actually, it's schematics that only appeared as random drops. As such, I like that the BE provides the option to buy them.

Just got a XboxOne and I'm not a xbox live subscriber, can you get Black emporium as a download (like DLC - Hakkon) or do I have to be a gold subscriber?

Same. Being at the mercy of the RNG sucks.

You have to be a Gold Sub, aka a multiplayer customer, to get the BE now. Talk about making us feel like second rate customers.

His comment smacks of, "If it requires effort, we can't/won't bother." What a lazy excuse, and it speaks poorly of their work ethic.

                                                                                <<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>

Bio's policy towards requests is:

1. How much time will it take?

2. What is the required resource cost?

3. What is the value to Bio?

I suppose all three questions must be answered in the postive column before proceeding.

Now many have asked for armours.. new ones because the NPCs have them...so why can't I have them? Possible answers are:

1.

New armour design require art work = takes time = also resources. How much? I don;t know... Edmonton is now helping Montreal with ME4. So I doubt anything will happen. Or, they can take resources from the DLC team and put them towards making free armours..... hmmmm... not likely.

2.

NPC armour... make them available to me.  Well.. it depends....  Non flexible designs  as in body type and armour is a one off. .. meaning armours are non transferrable to another body type... it is fixed. In order to do what many have asked for, the design, from the outset,  must be for body flexibility....

Notice, however,  that the CC won't permit resizing your char's head/body = fixed design = fixed armour design. So, no NPC armour copy and paste feature available in DAI.  New armours = new art works = resource+time = what value to Bio?

One thing you have to understand about Bioware (perhaps more specifically, Mike Laidlaw): They absolutely thrive on having this kind of control over gamers. They love how we beg them to allow us to wear armor at Skyhold, how we beg them for race-specific armor and access to a large number or armors already in the game. They love NOT giving us these things, because it makes them feel like they are in control. Makes them feel like they are in charge. They are  the BIOWARE kings of lala land!

Meanwhile, back on planet earth, we see right through their lack of understanding of what fans want from an RPG game. Never before has there been such a huge disconnect between Bioware and their fans and that is an alarming reality that is definitely not going to advance them as a credible RPG company.

I think that is a rather childish perspective... I doubt every single dev and employee at Bioware is a verified NPD who delights in BDSMing players in the wrong way and form, repeatedly. I rather think the point is far more dehumanized than you think. The board is from EA. EA deals in money. If it doesn't make enough money, it'll never be implemented. Pure capitalism.

Now that I have seen it for myself, I think it's pretty fair for a free DLC. I don't find anything to be too overpriced, except for the accessories. Over 15,000 gold for an amulet that only gives +5 constitution? GTFO lol

Other than that, it provides the CC and it seems to be a bit better lighting, though that could be my television. It has enough materials that'll suit me. As I said, for a free DLC, it's nice.

I wish it had more hairstyles, eyebrows, a way to at least dye the Skyhold outfit and a weapon tinting system would be awesome, but those are my wants and nothing Bioware has promised me. I can't hold that against them.

It's decent.

With the storage chest 'method' at Skyhold, it's pretty easy to buy everything valuable in the Black Emporium within an hour or so.
