No face codes. I'm pretty sure one of the devs way back said something about it being way too complicated to generate facecodes a la Mass Effect because of the new grid system the CC runs off of.

BS. I mean literally. Where there's a string - it can be stored and\or viewed. Grid marks the 'coordinates' which are used to generate a headmorph. They can't automate the process? Fine,  let the player write them down manually. Or (at very least) mark that grid with a 'cosmetic' but yet visible 1-100.

 

Wildstar, the bloody MMO has facecodes, but not the GOTY 'biggest ever made' RPG. And no NG+ either. Want to replay your custom character? Delete your old saves and play from the earliest one. Want to try some other Keep state? Good luck with recreating a face from the scratch. Oh, and not to mention that some (probably, most) have to pass 2 hideous CC sessions per PT..

 

No, really I'm glad for those who love their option to change the looks mid-game, and\or have some warm feelings for the shopkeeper. But that was like the last chance to get a proper way to replay the game.

Still the same old beige PJs.   .... nice.   The only good thing is, yay, can adjust face anytime. Yay, crafting mats and schematics all available in one place, provided you have the gold. Now you don't have to break a leg or is it break wind at Hissing Wastes.

Some people were waiting for the chance to change their character without having to reload because that was in the previous installment and was something heavily requested by the fans and something the developers said they were looking into? That's what I know some people have been waiting for in a long time.

 

Everything else was pretty much things people also requested but were not implemented nor promised as far as I can recall. I'm a bit iffy of the armor because I heard things but I do not know if that is a case of bad wording from Bioware or people assuming things despite the wording not confirming it.

 

I'm sorry it was not specifically what you were expecting or wanted but there is always the hope that they'll add it later if that's any comfort.

And again, the same old "If it's free, no one has a right to complain about it!" nonsense that is every poor man's argument when they don't have an actual argument to substantiate their reasoning. Yes, it is free but it is a feature that should have been available at release or at the most 1-2 months after, since it offers barely any new content and there's simply no logical reason that it took so long, other than it being a PR move  - and that is simply not enough for me to return to the game, 5 1/2 months after release.

I get that. And I'm glad for the people that are still playing the game after all these months, who will benefit from this feature. For me it's a simple matter of "too little, too late", though.

If it had been a "PR move" as you say then I see little logic in not releasing it at launch when it was heavily requested and it might have soothed some especially those with the voice bug so I very much doubt that was the case. I consider it more likely that patching the game and then ensuring the "Black Emporium" would be largely bug-free took precedence especially since there were issues with the character creation both when it came to the player's character and when it came to Hawke's mid-game implementation.

I see this DLC in a shop ( Xbox One) but can't download it, becouse I havn't gold account. Is it for gold account users only or something/

Does anyone know if you can access the BE in Haven? Given it location on the map. I would think you can and not have to wait until Skyhold.

I shouldn't complain since it's free but MAN that was underwhelming.

In THIS situation EA wasn't involved. It was determined by when the console servers updated. XB1 just happened to be first. Also, time zones were a factor too I think. 

 

 

Hopefully there won't be another time exclusive DLC. BUT, if I had to pick one to be time exclusive, JOH is probably the lightest on story we'll get. Or at least I hope.

I'm also peeved about the facecodes. It's not anymore complex than with Mass Effect. I've seen the xml of the save files and it's all numbered data. Sure the codes would be much much longer but what is easier. Copy and pasting (or even typing out) a code that is 50 digits long or trying to line up the sliders from screenshots? This also isn't an option for console players unless their PC is connected to the same TV as their console or they print off every image.

 

Sigh... oh well we'll have to wait for modders to crack the save files.
