There is a problem with this map compared to other maps.  Last night I tried to play about 8 games on perilous, every game during that span was set to castle and on about 7 of them I got the endless 'joining' screen in which you have to **** down your xbox totally as you cannot exit the game at all.

 

You can quit any game/app manually.  Hit the main XB1 button to go Home.  In the game/app window Start > Scroll down to Quit > A.

 

if you still have further problems an XB1 reset is on order (hold power for 10secs or unplug power for 30secs).  I had to do this last night.  Had a glitchy experience, then I noticed no one was joining.  A hard reset, started up DAI, and voila had players showing up right away.

I will check that, but why does the Dragon's Call item list and be available to craft for something that has yet to be downloaded? I thought that I had done this, and saw the words "installed" already - but I will check again.

Yep, it's a bit tricky like that.  I started playing the other day, unlocked the new characters, crafted a Dragon Call, but was like "where is this gong?  where is this castle?"  I then realized "duh, perhaps I should check the store" and there was the new DLC waiting for install...  So yeah, you can do some things, but you still need the DLC for the new map and dragon fights.

The map is gorgeous and fun, be ware when playing as an Assassin though, you'll easily fall from edges using Flank Attack.

 

 

I managed to do this a couple times yesterday as Duelist (level 3 o 4?).  Just run straight for the holes in the walkway.  Actually it's a great way to respawn with full health.  Hmmm.

The rough part was I spent my 100K gold on chests before realizing I still had to download the DLC...  *facepalm*
