Bioware I promise you the hardware can handle it. I've been sheathing my weapons in video games for many years...

Did somebody add more buttons to your controller when we weren't looking?

Nope, but there's a lot of ways to use them, such as a double click on the left stick or right stick, holding a button for one to two seconds etc... Seriously dude, if you're going to troll people, at least know what you're talking about.

Oh, sheathe your weapon already.

The point is that BioWare doesn't have controller setup options, and they're not going to silently add new control functionality (of the sort you're indicating) for a vanity feature.

Dude, I get that it's fun to be a pc player and insult consoles, but bioware keeps saying all versions are the same and that's their reason for all the cut content... I don't really care about the feature itself, it's just weird to see, and it's one if the few things they actually added.

Why bother coming in her just to start a fight? It's a fair question given their insistence that all versions must be equal and so they had to cut all the neat stuff in the PAX trailer.

And actually devs add in features like that all the time.

They've added in more features than that (PC has an auto-attack key, for instance).

I agree that it shouldn't be exclusive to the PC version, but BioWare not bringing the functionality to consoles has nothing to do with your "hardware". They can't or won't allow customization of the controller layout, so it's unsurprising that they won't add new control functions.

I don't care about insulting consoles or whatever nonsense (and the game was designed for controllers, so it'd hardly be firm ground to stand on). My response to you was posed entirely in the spirit of the tone you set with your first post (I probably should have used some sort of smiley to indicate it wasn't intended to be a serious response).

If you want to sheathe your weapon, choose "Disengage" from the action menu.

Lol, fair enough... Though if there was a ps4 only feature I bet snarky comments from the PC community would be all over the place.

There's no such thing as a PS4-only feature, since any PC user can just plug in a controller (and a lot of them do).

But there are already plenty of people who are mad that the game plays better with a controller, sure.

Play nice folks, :D

I feel lucky my usb mouse and keyboard were compatible, the usb controller was not, is it simply that usb 3 is too fast? B)  You think they would know of a company called logitech, but the incompatibility doesn't stop there take a serious look at the controls interface and the bugs around it.  As far as sheathing the weapon, there are a variety of bugs that can cause the game to stay in combat mode or just pause for no reason, take your pick .

As far as the divergence of game platforms, its inevitable.  If they added complex characters and dialogue with banter and behaviors that brought everybody's system to it's knees, the argument might be different, but they didn't.  I think a limit on how many complex characters a platform could support would have worked, like final fantasy did so long ago.  Bioware chose another path.  Maybe that is a fundamental issue with the complex character controller - it was too complex and most of it remains on the editing room floor to maintain console markets, yet left so incomplete it barely works from the kind of errors it produces in dialog errors, NPC conflicts and quest errors.

DAI is built on shaky foundations!  Add a QA processes that seem designed by a child with no insight into update ramifications on existing installations or even a history of critical repairs.  To be fair game industry SQA hardly approaches ISO9000, but it should. Sorry, my progam management hat can be highly critical as SQA should.

Waiting for the weapons to sheathe by themselves isn't so bad...

It is an absolutely pointless "feature" regardless of platform, if you can even call it that.

The game is full of console only features. Don't think for one second PC gamers are advantaged in any way. It simply is not the case.
