So I got World Of Thedas 2 yesterday .I haven't read everything in details , there's a lot to read.

But as promised there's some news about what lies beyond Thedas.

Well kind of...(it's mostly  all "rumors " "tales" and "legend" at this point)

It seems Genitivi is writing In Pursuit of Knowledge volume 2 , I hope it means he's not dead .Since he disappeared in DAI.(If you shanked him in DAO , well your warden was bad and you should feel bad.)

Anyway for those interested , here it is :

Also a Thedas map to help locate those place (it's an ancient map not from WOT):

Spoiler

*vibrates with anticipation*

This is fantastic stuff!   @w@   Thanks for sharing while I wait for the UPS guy.

Most people have caught on to the whole "turn the map of Thedas upside down and viola, you have Europe" trick, but delving into these uncharted territories underscores the point.

Interesting. Maybe this means future Dragon Age titles will feature new races and regions.

Now I wish I had pre-ordered this book.  :(  This is getting me real excited for potential games in the future.

I'd kill for a game set in the Donarks jungle. Dragon age story and characters combined with Far Cry 3-esque environment? YESPLIS!

Riviani people are said to be from Islands up north and they also love jewelry and bling bling, so I guess it is safe to say that the people from Rivain came from Par Ladi.

It's possible , legends says their witches are like Rivaini seers.

The Agadi are interesting, especially if their connected to Chasind somehow

The old tales state that after “countless winters” had passed since they parted from the other tribes of the Alamarri, the Chasind invaded the lands to the north accompanied by “white shadows” and twisted swamp creatures.

Pure speculation, but perhaps Agadi resided in the Korcari Wilds before and were driven out by the them? Who knows, maybe they allied with each other to take the North?

You can't really complain. Linking wikia images occasionally results in small thumbnails.

Thanks for sharing, OP! This stuff is fascinating. I really hope we get to explore some (all?) of these new cultures/lands in future DA games. I wonder if the cataclysm mentioned was something to do with a Blight? Maybe red lyrium, if the people there are obsessed with lyrium.

I killed Genitivi in my original playthrough not because my Warden was evil but because deep inside, he believed that allowing the words of the Sacred Ashes to spread would only bring chaos to this sacred place. He wanted to protect this place so it wouldn't have zealots roaming around like the Cult of Andrasté. Didn't kill the dragon so it would protect the urn.

In the whole book?

Tempests?Like Sera.No don't think so ...there's a small text about the Inquisitor's trainer.

Hmmm dwarven things ...there's some talk about paragons. Also Tug , Leliana's friend in her DLC, told her something in dwarven , she's trying to understand it .One part is the old "The Stone lives beneath Orlais" there's another sentence but no traduction.

New mage traditions...there's a creepy tale for Qunari children about Saarebas?

Oh ,Teddie Sage. You're bad and you should feel bad. Seriously Genitivi is badass. He's a brother like Roderick in DAI , well except for the fact that he traveled all over Thedas and had some crazy adventures.

And about the map , I didn't know there were problem with wikia link , I picked this one because it was big and you could see the whole map.Sorry.

Thanks.

I really hope the next DLC or game delves into the Stone and more dwarven lore.

Inquisition did wonders for elven lore.

You know your decisions mean nothing to the great retcon powers of Bioware! (I did the same, not the dragon bit but killed Genitivi and didn't tell people where I found it.)

This sounds fascinating. I would love for the new game to take us to completely new locations. So much potential there!

Sounds like...what am I thinking of...something too good to be true? Like a garden of Eden type of deal but obviously with a sinister ulterior that no one expects or knows about.

It's somewhat amusing to think that Thedas might be the safest continent on the planet.

I want to say it sound like a star trek plot, but damned if I can remember.

@thats1evildude...

Ain't that a thing, huh?
