Greetings forumgoers! I recently purchased da2 and after 80 hours in origins 100% completing the game on nightmare, tried to import my save, however I noticed that when I imported the save file it said that amaranthine was saved, no mention of vigils keep. Then I tried a gibbed save game to see if I could change that, the gibbed save when imported then shows vigils keep saved and amaranthine saved. My question is this, in a legitimate play through, is it possible to have da2 flag as you saved both, I had completed all the quests, upgraded everything possible and justice was the only companion to die being beheaded, the epilogue first said amaranthine rebuilt in one year vigils keep in 5.

If it is possible to get a better ending that triggers in da2 please can you give me a list of the choices that help that to happen, I understand there are soldiers that can be deployed to the city or farms, but keeping them at the keep May change the ending? Please help ad I want to start DA2 with a good save, the one I'm playing now seems to have bugged and triggers both the mutually exclusive quests.

Thanks in advance!

To save both Vigil's Keep and Amaranthine you need to finish these quests ; Cost of doing business (Voldrik, 80 gold sovereigns), What is built endures (Voldrik, find granite and give him soldiers), It comes from beneath (the female Sergeant), Elemental requirements (get materials for Haren/Wade and give them soldiers).

After you finish these quests you need to save the city of Amaranthine and not to go back to the Vigil, the quests above will make sure that the Vigil endures.

What does the epilogue say if you save both? Does no one die or something?

Edit: Nevermind. I think I found it:

This is the ending I got, but it still shows up as being only amaranthine saved in da2, yet with a gibbed save it can show both, am I to understand it is intended not to flag as both?

This is the slides that were shown in a video I looked up labeled something like "How to save both Vigil's Keep and Amaranthine." It seems like I got these same slides, yet people I left at the Vigil still died, so I don't really know what to tell you. I don't know exactly what entails saving both places.

I think it's considered "Saved" if you completely upgrade the keep, even if people died, the ending plate does say "the survivors were immortalized" meaning: Vigil's was battered but not broken.  All it does is affect a couple quests in Kirkwall, so just relax and enjoy.  I think the only flag was "which did the Warden do: Fight for Amaranthine, or return to Vigils", prompting DA2 to include one of two different quests.

It's very strange because so far I've had both quests and the dark promises one spawn, even though I killed both Sophia and avernus during that playthrough.
I got to the end of act 1 on DA2 but realized I was making bad dialogue choices and had no chance of max friendly or rivalry so I started again, going to test a gibbed savegame for quest triggers and compare it to a legitimate playthrough!
