Apologies if I have missed something bleeding obvious to do this...

I wish to disable the ability to bring up the party selection GUI via the UI menu, as done in the official campaigns. How might I go about this?

Many thanks!

hey MERP,

it's in playermenu_popup.xml

Thanks kevL, that was simple enough to do.

I presume dropping this xml file into the campaign folder will apply the change?

i guess so,

I use Docs\NwN2\UI\custom, for my personal setup
but it should work most any usual place; \Override, Campaign, module, maybe even a .hak

Thanks, i'll try the campaign folder first. So long as the player is unable to change the party members on the fly, then I have what I need :)

Thank you again!

You may wish to make a note in your readme as to why you don't want players to do that, for those who would otherwise circumvent the restriction.

Yep, it's on the list for the "quickguide" I provide with the full downloads :)

I usually set my roster members to 'unselectable', since I prefer to add or remove party members via their conversations. Players can still bring up the roster GUI, but they can't do anything with it.

I put my campaign specific player menu in a folder named UI inside the campaign folder.

I do the same as Kaldor, and I want to add here that if one doesn't modify this particular UI xml, as I found out, and leave the game as it is, more things like that happen. For example the player can world travel from anywhere, since he can bring up the world map at any time. So if one uses the world map function, it's actually useless to lay down world map trigger transitions.

I had trouble modifying the xml, because I'm clueless on the matter. For people who have the same problem, perhaps a copy of the MotB xml suits the purpose and a copy in the campaign folder will suffice.
