This isn't a hate thread, more like a disappointed thread. I know I'm 6 months late to the party but I didn't start playing MP until now, mostly because I didn't hear any great things about it. But I was a massive fan of Mass Effect 3's MP. I honestly thought it was the best part of that game. So I had pretty good expectations for DA:I's MP. I really do like the customization and characters you get to play as, but my main issue is with the maps themselves.

Not only do I find 3 maps to be pretty lacking, but what really gets me is how boring and uninspired they are in it's design. I was expecting something like a dungeon crawler, but all it really is is going from Point A to Point B, then Horde mode, and then you're done in 10-15 minutes. And all three maps are like that. It gets so repetitive. Why aren't there any branching paths? I'm not talking about secret rooms, I'm talking about completely different paths to take that'll lead to certain challenges and greater treasures.

What about bosses? I know there are some things that could technically be counted as a boss, but I'm talking about big mean and tough bosses that you fight. A mini boss in the middle of the dungeon, and then a final boss at the end. Why not have that instead of just throwing a ton of enemies at us and call it a day?

I'm happy to hear we're getting a new map that actually has a dragon fight, even though this is happening 6 months later, but man, I don't see myself playing this MP for more than a few days. Whereas ME3's MP had me playing for weeks on end, and coming back to it once in a while.

Sorry for the rant but I just wanted to get my opinion out there. I feel like this is what happens when your publisher requires you to put in a MP, regardless of whether or not you're inspired to make it.

There are different paths on a few maps.  I do agree that more maps are required however.

Only weeks on end for Me3 mp?  Lightweight!

Your last comment makes zero sense and makes the rest of your post seem foolish.

I thought the same thing at first, then I played with my friends and we got addicted. Eventually we got bored for the lack of content and today I will try the new DLC and see if it's worth the wait

It's a multiplayer. I'm enjoying the hell out of it. You're not. Mileage will vary.

So no worries.

I absolutely hate this comment. There's always one guy who says it in threads like these. I typed the OP out, knowing there'd be a guy who was gonna say it.

It's called criticism dude, and people are allowed to make it, regardless if they wish to play it or not.

Criticism is not a good tool to do feedback with.

Try reading/listening to Dale Carnagie's "How to win friends, and influence people".

I am giving you helpful advice.  Games are supposed to be entertainment, so if it isn't entertaining you should move on to something else.

What I did not do was give you a reprimand for the content of your post, nor did I suggest that this sort of content should not be expressed.  Which may in fact be somewhat ironic.

The maps are pretty repetitive, though

Would be fun to have some minibosses and branching paths

Though why I find it fun is not the maps,

but because of the character classes/builds/experimenting, and crafting different armors/loot, plus playing with real ppl

And then when you find a class and build you really like to play, that it feels like you're really good at that particular class,

then it gets even more fun

Oh, I'll just put the game I bought specifically for MP content away then...

Strange - I could swear I heard the same thing when MP was announced for ME3.

Well, then I suppose it's not for you. Personally, I prefer it over MEMP because each character not only is one, but also plays very differently (if you allow them to). Additionally, I also think the point A to point B maps with lots of atmospherical details are running way out of ME's soulless sports arena type maps' league.

I suppose MEMP is a little easier on the broadness of taste, because let's face it, shooting stuff is pretty fun - no matter what. DAI is way more specific and odd in its approach, and it just happens to swing better with me.

I've barely scratched the SP main story, so there are a good chunk of us

Oh, I'm not bothered. It just seemed like a really strange (nod, nod, wink, wink) comment to make. I'd understand if I was actually rabble-rousing, but that certainly wasn't the case.

Just imagine if you had to wait for 4-6 months like the rest of us for a new DLC.

Where is the rage guy quotes?

What I meant was that everyone runs around and shoots -except for some extreme exceptions, added way late in the its life cycle-, which is just the nature of the beast. That's all I'm saying. I wasn't questioning the complexity of either, nor the (required) skill of the people playing them.

P.S.: I used to play Platinum with the mine-tossin' squishy fella in your avatar, in case my integrity is questioned here.

P.P.S.: I can also lift many units of weight, tie a square knot with almost no serious injury, and count up to three...THOUSAND *cracks neck*
