when you say that, do you mean that your user name on social.bioware.com has to be the same as your GT?

I have my gamertag and an e-mail address on EA.com from Ao2:40th day, and a different e-mail address under my bioware account online. I already registered my ME2 game on the site, yet I can't access the DLC because it says I have no gamertag registered here. Tried combining the e-mail addresses on the sites, but each says that the other e-mail is already in use. Please help!!!

go to EA.com, sign in, go into your account and goto the "add persona" section then add gamertag

okay im having the same problem, but I registered my gamer tag at the rock band site with the same info but when i try to add my gamer tag to my ea account it says it has already been taken

Have you tried logging into the EA site with the account you used for rock band?

Alright, I calmed down. Realized my last post was kind of confusing, let me rephrase.



My gamertag is saved on EA's site, but my game is registered on this site. I cannot combine the two because they are each under different e-mail addresses. Do I need to contact support for this?

Yeah i think so, it's really stupid but all the email addresses need to be the same, perhaps it would be easier to deal with bioware i.e. changing the registration info than dealing with EA?

It also might be possible to merge your EA accounts, in the persona section, you can add a new EA ID, so maybe you could make a new one with the email address you used to reg here and then merge? I read something about that recently but i'm not 100% if it would work or not

There is a long post on the EA forums where you can go and put your info in (account names, emails associated with those accounts, date of birth) and they will merge the Gamertag into the EA / Bioware account.



There's no indication yet how long it will take them to do this however as I guess their CS people are swamped with the phone calls and live chat requests. I submitted my information around noon PST and it hasnt been acted on yet.



It would be good if the Bioware representatives could get an estimate on the backlog and how long this will take to resolve.

As far as i'm lead to believe if its the same email address then you'll be fine but it needs to be the same as your gamertag, if you're on the 360

Yeah, I am having the same issue as I created a new login using the exact email that I use for my Xbox Live account and it will not allow me to link my gamertag to this new account. I never, to my knowledge, linked my spam email to my gamertag so I am not sure how my gamertag cannot be linked.



Issues like these are frustrating beyond belief as we should all be enjoying Mass Effect 2 and not lurking on the forums trying to figure out how to get a pre-order bonus that we all paid for. Good to know that EA can still mess up what will probably be the GotY. Sadly, EA is giving Bioware a very bad reputation between this, the delayed bonus character DLC, and the 'Return to Ostagar' DLC for Dragon Age: Origins.

Have you checked yet? go to EA and use the other email and see if your gamertag is there?

i dont know the e-mail it was that far back.

do u guys no how 2 find a gamer tag.

i put in the game & did the cerberus network thing & now i dont know wht e-mail it is on or whtever.

I've not seen it so i can't really say. What did you have to do when you added it in-game?

I know when i activated the cerberus network in-game, I didn't get a prompt to log in since my account was already on EA through my gamer tag. Since I already registered my game through my Bioware account, am I just out of luck on combining game DLC and info?
