Please give us an option to turn off the looting animation.  It's very annoying to have to wait a couple seconds every single time that I want my character to loot bodies and loot crafting materials.  With as much stuff as there is in the game to loot, and how large the world is, the constant having to stop and wait for the looting animation to farm mats is really annoying.  Please take a look at Skyrim and Witcher on how they handle that.

I'm on the PS4 version.  I know that the PC version has a mod out that takes care of this, but really would like to see the PS4 version get this option.

Even DAO and DA2 had instant looting. I don't know why they thought looting animations were necessary. They don't add to immersion at all, same with jumping. The only thing they do add to is my time wasted.

Mining ore with my bare hands, though? Really?

Think that is why I like things like loot magnet and break lock when available- after you've done these things a few times the repetition gets old and the wasted time a concern.  Now, if one of my companions wants to show off and sing or dance, whatever -they have my attention!

It's something I hadn't really thought about, I guess it doesn't bother me.

Even though Witcher 3 is overkill with all the boxes, bags, plants, etc. to loot, I don't mind looting in that game because of the instant feedback when pressing the button.  It's these little things that make the game just a bit more enjoyable, and when you're talking about games that are 100-200 hours in length, these little things add up.  It's called quality control.

You can call me a kid if that makes you feel like more of a man or makes you feel c00l, but this is why they make a feedback forum, so people can bring up thoughts and ideas to make a good game game better.

Agreed.  I never ever liked looting animation in any game.  It slows down progress of game in all aspects.  Who really cares about seeing your character bend over?

Nobody.

btw this offers zero to the conversation.  Its a legit thing to bring up.  Who enjoys looting animations ever?  Its tedious and has nothing to offer the player.  It'd save the dev's time by just making it instant loot.  That way they don't have to add any new animations.

Yeah, I agree that looting animation is pointless, and makes the simple task of snatching up items a weird kind of chore, especially when collecting metals or herbs. It's even worse in the fact that you have this time-wasting animation, while animation for basic tasks don't exist, such as opening doors (with the exception of a rogue's lockpicking).

Mining a rock-solid silverite vein with bare hands, falling off a mountain during the animation and survive due to inhuman resistence against death from falling - Cory wasn't a smart magister to f*** with us.

Yes it is sort of a have to use, over used animation, but at least it is pretty quick.

I guess it's okay, but it would be nice to have some way to speed it up. like maybe a menu with all items in the area pop up if more than one was available, and just click an all that you want, and close it..

And once you close it have option to destroy all that you did not pick, or not.
