Level 4 is quite short but open and have ranged units peppering you from the battlements as well as a constant stream of melee units coming from several directions.  Pugs seem to like standing out in the middle of all this rather than falling back slightly to funnel things a little.

Guilty as charged! But in my defense, I was falsely led to believe my Avvar can take it all!

I tried using a Hunter and stealth past them all, then use the little ramp going up to the right so you have full view of the area, from there you can shoot everything, they eventually caught up with me though, still, managed to take 34 of them out before they cut me down, I only carry so many spike traps..

This map really encourages you to use the cover/different routes, there is no shame in falling back now and again, standing in the middle is a one way ticket to the fade.

Still wondering ...
They said on the Stream that they would implement challenges for the new agents ...
Will this be retroactive?

I mean, the games we do in the meantime, will they be taken into account?

They hope they will Mitsuryu, baring any technical difficulties. (So they have not garanteed anything, but that is the direction they are working towards)

EDIT: sorry, I found this in the original FAQ

Can someone please explain what exactly is

"elusive" and "vendetta" ? And how it works?

Maybe it can be pinned on this Thread, too?

Hey, so this has been bothering me a bit but.. Im playing on PS3 and I have no idea what button to press to select the dragon type. No matter what I try, the dragon type won't highlight and allow me to change it like the difficulty level and map. I have no idea what Im supposed to be doing tbh

I was baffled on PS4 as well. Then I accidentally discovered that if you're on the map selection, press down on the D-pad and it takes you to dragon type.

I would assume PS3 and PS4 would share that much in common.

I took another look with that in mind and for ps3 rather than the d-pad it's the left analog stick. Thank-you!

Yup, after checking again in-game, I was just coming back here to correct myself and say left stick.

Glad you got it figured out despite my "oops"! :P

Are those fireplaces placed randomly or does someone at BioWare hate symetry?

Question: what exactly are the trebuchets supposed to do..?  I don't notice they deal a lot of damage, still some people insist on using them (even when they are swarmed by dragonlings or if the dragon is not even on the building!), just wondering if they have any other function than making the dragon fly off the building ..?

If it hits, it deals about 10% of the dragons total hp.

We found a sweet spot on the left hand side of the plaza (just before the main stairs) there's a corridor with a corner that you can pop in and out off to attack and drop back for cover from ranged units and the Dragon but still funnel melee mooks.  Didn't feel like we were too pressed on Perilous.

Vendetta is basically a crossbow ability buff on enemy entities (10% damage to enemies from all sources)

WHICH

is consumed (debuff) by certain (dagger) abilities to create Elusive for the Duelist.

Elusive is a one time damage prevention ability. It doesn't matter how high the damage is, the Duelist is invulnerable to it.

Elusive is indicated by the Gold Coins at the bottom of the screen (default is three possible coins, can be raised to 4 coins).

So basically it's like the passive of other characters that gives a 5% chance to evade attacks completely - just Elusive is guaranteed invulnerability and you have control about generating it.

Swashbuckle (ability) consumes stored Elusive to buff its damage.

So it comes down to:

Spread Vendetta (damage dealt buff for the whole team)

Hit with daggers (to generate invulnerability)

Repeat

Or Spend it for high damage.

Hey, guys, I would like to get a clear answer about this:

Is it POSSIBLE to get a prurple-unique dragon item from the Dragon (no chest, no store) in Threatening or not? I mean possible.

Maybe it is because my English is bad, but I don't understand that point in this FAQ. I do not care about blue or grey  items. I just want to know if I do have at least a chance to get a purprle dragon item in any tier from the dragon (of course lower in Routine and greater in Peri...).

I really like the dualist and prefer to play in threatening with her, instead of playing with AW on peri...

Thanks!

I was running around the field trying to find something.... did not try immediate left.   Yeah I like how most pugs are acting like total noobs and standing on the flag again.  I thought I was done with that foolish tactic a few months after the game came out and people where learning to not be stupid and take cover.   Now they act like they never fought a dragon in any DnD style game before and open spaces are your friends.      I like how they make every start in the middle to plant flag, just wish people would get that you have to finish the waves of regular mobs first.

HurkyKean...... Every chest has a chance to drop the best of the best but ones earned from the dragon fight on perilous have the best chance to not just drop the gear but average out higher level loot compared to easier difficulty.

It was in answer to Zone 4 rather than the last zone.

It was quite a nice spot, right? :D And the right side (in the castle alcove, then moving on to the chest room if you like is also nice).

And the stairs of doom can be braved, even on perilous (even though it's stupid in my opinion). The other day I had a team where my teammates (duelist and avvar) just didn't want to come to the right side (to me and an AW which were siphoning enemies there) so we just ran out to them and managed to do it. Of course, my fingers hurt from all the songs I was playing to keep them alive...  <_<

Haha! The Stairs of Doom, love it!  I had 2 Katari just Charging up and down those stairs, 1 going up, 1 down, I just watched in disbelief but it worked!  Tried to throw barriers on them where possible but it was just too funny to watch, perfect match too, I don't recall anyone's health bar going below green..

No, don't bother. Play your Duelist on Perilous, and get purples.

I did.

Not the second part though "and get purples". At least sometimes I get mats directly and don't need to recyle.

I wonder if you still receive items for Dragon Kill if you entered the fade?

Thanks.

Left side is great. There's even a platform that you can jump on so melee guys can't get you.  Overwhelmed? Drop down hole & teleport to beginning of stage...regroup.

I hope the dragon loot type is not related to the character you are playing. I have been doing perilous dragon runs with mages and have been getting nothing but staff of the dragon (5th one today), no sign of rogue dragon weapons.
