Is the Black Emporium available in Haven, or do you need to get to Skyhold to get it?

It is available in Haven but some materials will appear only after reaching Skyhold.

Where's the swag pile? Varric lied when he said he found Bianca in a plie labeled swag.

Well, Varric is a self-admitted compulsive liar, lol.

I know. I was being facetious. They should've added dialogue where you can go back to him and tell that he lied and there is no pile labeled swag

I'm just happy we can fix our characters. I don't know why people would expect qunari gear. If we do get qunari gear, I suspect it'll be in (if there one) the 2nd paid DLC. Also, your qunari's a Tal-Vashoth, so they wouldn't wear traditional qunari armor, with the Qun emblem all over them. DA2 qunari don't count, they were just reskins.

Only gripe I have is expensive prices, and high ass Lv requirements. However, this would be expected, because if you could use half of these weapons or armor/mods, on a lv 5... you'd be a god compared to lv 5 enemies. Takes away the challenge.

I'm on PC and I've just downloaded the BE but I'm using a post Corypheus PT to check the war table. There's nothing there.

My pic is after I defeated Cory. It's there. Just reload your game.

It's a good addition, but really... I'm still baffled after all this time, they haven't dealt with the pyjamas, hair options. I feel like they're so out of touch with what fans actually want.

Ok, I found the answer. I have to log in. *roll eyes* I usually don't bother to do so when I play the game since I don't do the MP.

do they add crafting materials as you level up? I noticed, unless I'm blind/didn't see them, that silverite and death root (for way of the assassin) weren't for sale

Oh c'mon!  ^w^  Chauncey is worth the price of admission all by himself.

Also, I can't believe he got his hands on

Spoiler

I wish there was a prompt to poke it.

I think once you get to Skyhold you get the rest, since you only get that stuff in the new locations.

I had hoped there'd be fade-touched mats there :( I still really want Pull of the Abyss Nevarrite.

Nah- I have a level 13 post Skyhold character and only tier 2 stuff is there. My higher level characters can get tier 3 stuff.

I would have liked the Emporium for the mirror alone if it didn't completely break the qunari horn metal textures for me.

Now it looks like they were dipped in mercury.

I have several questions. First. Do the superior armour schimatics compare well to the ones in hissing wastes? Second. Are there any great sword schimatics? I've seen what the dlc had but couldn't afford any of the top tear items so couldn't find out for my self?

Does that mean you can eventually get armour schimatics comparable to the ones found in hissing wastes?

I haven't looked closely at the armor scematics, but the weapon schematics include the Sulevin Blade. FYI though, it costs a shade under 17k, so take some gold lest ye be frustrated by the hated red text of no-no.

Edit: I loaded up a higher-level character (24), and yes, the Superior and Sturdy versions of the T3 armor schematics are present in the shop. The Superior versions cost a bit over 20k, and the Sturdy a bit over 10k.

I assume you are talking about the hissing waste armours right?

Honestly, I've only ever bothered to visit that merchant once across all of my playthroughs, so I don't recall exactly what's there. I assumed by comparable you meant in terms of tier/quality.

I admit to being slightly disappointed that the companions can't contribute any passing comments. I chose Varric with the small hope that he might say something, but alas companions don't even appear in it. Oh wells.

Anyway, all in all I'm glad to have the BE. Nothing blows my hair back (especially since there's no new ones) but I'm happy to have more mats and crafting material. The real kicker is the ridiculous prices on stuff. Xenon's a friggin highwayman he is. And then he has the nerve to ask to have the Inquisitor's hand when she dies.

So it still won't let me download this dlc on Xbox One without having gold membership. Is this the case for everyone? If so, this is my disappointment with this dlc. That it's 100% ready and they won't give it to us because Microsoft still wants to scrounge every last penny out of us and Bioware is complacent with this. If so, this is literally the last straw for me with this company (and I've stuck with them since the '90s). Such blatant, throughly insulting commercialism. Why should a subscription for online multi-player gaming be necessary for a strictly single player dlc? I have no reason to purchase gold and resent being encouraged to in order to gain access to content that has absolutely nothing to do with multi-player

It was a little underwhelming, I agree - but this is not its debut appearance. And mostly, I think it was a simple and familiar way to reintroduce character touch up via the mirror, as it was one of the highest requested additions from the moment the game released. The character creation is done in weird lighting - I had to go back a couple times and repeat the opening sequence because my character came out with clownish makeup or freakish cheekbones.

It was an interesting reimagining of the original emporium with better graphics. But I didn't expect much else.
