It's a good addition, but really... I'm still baffled after all this time, they haven't dealt with the pyjamas, hair options. I feel like they're so out of touch with what fans actually want.

Lots of fans wanted the CC to be available in-game. It may not be what you want, but "fans" certainly wanted it.

You can get the ultra rare Dalish warrior armor schematic and Staff of Corruption here, bought the former...too poor for the latter :(

Okay. I downloaded it for PS4 just now. Loaded the game and made sure I was logged in. Where is it? Not seeing it on the map.

North of Fereldan where the Kirkwall icon is.

I wish it had some new armors, but I love the mirror and the fact that you can buy crafting materials. You unlock more stuff to buy the higher your level. I've had a look at it with a Level 24 character and there was a lot more to buy than my level 8 characters,

People are disappointed in TBE?

...why?  The description by Bioware states exactly what this DLC includes: The Mirror of Transfiguration, and the four stores.

Oh wait.  Silly me.  People were making things up in their head (again) and are upset their headcannon (new hairstyles, facecodes, and armor styles) was not respected.

Right then.  Moving on.

Yeah it was a tad bit underwhelming. What do I have to do to get some new hairstyles? Really BW I'd do anything! Sacrifice babies! Kick puppies! .... Sacrifice and kick Morrigan? Anything!

Do love you can buy a shitton of schematics there tho.

Awesome modder named Adela has put countless hours into a couple hair mods if you use PC. She's got 2 females and working on a male.

Have to say Black Emporium isn't something i' had any desire to see time spent on.

Still there seems to be a demand for it(even if i can't understand it)

I finally got the cool "long coat with strap thingies, yet with scarf instead of metal chestplate" T3 variant of the Hunter Armor, so that was worth it alone. Been running around with a T1 armor for 90% of the game.

I'd view it less as a content DLC or place, and more as a late-implemented feature.

P.S.: I absolutely agree that there was more interesting, funny and/or plain weird stuff in DA2, but Leliana's introductory report about Xenon's messager was pretty darn hilarious.

It had exactly what I wanted - a way of changing the colour of my Lavellan's vallaslin. Also schematics for things I'd failed to get hold of in the game, which was nice. A few new legendary weapons was actually an unexpected bonus. I wasn't expecting new hairstyles or companion dialogue - since doing those things takes up more resources than would be warranted by a quick-turnaround free shop and CC. I'd be underwhelmed if I'd paid for it, but this was a free thing done relatively fast in response to fan requests and it does exactly what it's supposed to. Fingers crossed for more hairstyles in a dlc somewhere down the line, or for modding new ones to become possible.

Disappointment isn't something that I experienced yesterday!

I was really glad to get the new stuff and liked just about all of it. It took me a good portion of the evening to individually bring up most of my group of completed Inquisitors and have each visit the BE.

I particularly loved being able to tweak their appearances to greater and lesser degrees via the Mirror of Transfiguration. That helped a lot! I also really appreciated that the beards now fit faces better; much needed.

It was great to have the various schematics and crafting supplies available too. As for the multiplayer stuff, I didn't hit the new map, but I was able to craft the Dragon's Call and Zither was my freebie (would have preferred Isabela). I have to figure out the Virtuoso's talents, but he is a wonky and fun new addition to the MP character lineup.

Thanks, Bioware, the freebies were terrific and much appreciated over at my domicile!

Does that mean you can eventually get armour schimatics comparable to the ones found in hissing wastes?

The Hissing Wastes sells standard and sturdy versions of the T3 armor sets.
BE sells standard and sturdy versions of the T3 Mail and coat sets. It also sells superior versions of all three sets.

Armor rating goes standard, sturdy, superior.

I would have hoped for new armors, especially for Qunari and Dwarf, players that love those races certainly deserve better.

They gave us what we wanted. The ability to change our characters mid game so I have nothing negative to say about it.

Fans : We want a Mirror of Transformation and Black Emporium

Bioware : Ok, might take a while though.

Bioware : Here it is, and it's free!

Fans : What the frack is this shiet? So dissappointed you guys gave us exactly what we asked for!!!

That was your first mistake: choosing to play as a qunari.

More likely that's Bioware mistake, introduce multi race without allow to each race to have a certain number of  armors....

I miss the codex entries but that's pretty much nothing... Not having to grind for ring velvet: priceless!

I wanted to fix my character's face in the cc and that's what I got! ^_^

I was hoping for previously inaccessible schematics too, so that's a bonus. Also hoping for something to change the beige pyjamas, but that was just a hope, not an expectation.

Wow, this feels really half-baked.  Seems like it would have been a better use of their time to stick the mirror somewhere in Skyhold and add the purchases to the various vendors in the courtyard, then have whoever threw this together work on something meaningful.

The bulk of the criticism seems inane and half-baked, as many have already attempted to point out that the BE provides specific content that was much requested of Bioware. No gripes from me.

That being said, a couple of you have mentioned that it would have been nice to finally see some Qunari and Dwarf specific armors. That to me is not too much to ask, and hopefully something like that will also be considered by Bioware. We were given a set of unique armors for each elven class after all? And hey, the highly elusive Dalish Warrior Armor schematic is included in the stores of the BE!!

Not bad!

I don't want to be negative, it is free after all, and I love that I can buy Dragon Bones since I long ran out of dragons to kill.

Only one codex thingy in there though? Only like 6 things total you can interact with at all! Where's all the fun little things like the bucket of mismatched socks and stuff from DA2? I don't really need the gear at this point, I just wanted a little amusement :(

I don't really like being negative either, but I'm not overly impressed with it either.

For one, the stuff in the stores cost a ridiculous amount of gold.

For two, while appreciate being able to edit my players appearance, it would've been nice to have some more sliders/grids for fine tuning, or at the very least some better hair for female character... I still can't seem to create anything that's not fugly once I get in the game, and it's largely thx to shite hair.

It IS what exactly was promised to us. Can't complain there.

Kind of just wished the stores had armor upgrades. Those bitches are harder to find then the armor...

I don't mind it, but its just not the same as the DA2 shop which was more livelier, im happy they had the dalish warrior armor there and the sulevin blade isn't that much money,  so you could get a powerful weapon pre skyhold if you wanted, all im disappointed in is them not including fade touched items, since many are so rare that you might not even get a chance to see it in a playthrough

It needs ruines schematics, and some other stuff. But I got some cool new ones for hats and the mirror worked just fine.  I asked what would you like the black emporium to sell? Most people wanted more schematics that they could not find.

Art work would also be cool.
