50k and I got nothing, some loot system tweak that was. What an anticlimax as usual.

Spent 40K got a few double purple chests and much higher level junk than before.

 

A couple of new ability rings and at least five "Uniques" that I already have and many superb runes.

 

Zither from the dragon chest and I had plenty of salvage to craft the other two and and the higher level armours for all of them.

 

Zither is going to take getting used to but enjoying the other two.

So far it doesn't seem like the new weapons show up in the chests... only as drops from the dragons.

RNGesus was pretty okay to me. Got a lot of salvage, yeah. But I also got a few useful things. I am STILL lacking any flavor of HoK ring, Caliban, and the Sulevin Blade, but I DID get this...

 

 

So, that made me happy. Or, rather, it made my Alchemist and Assassin happy.

 

Meanwhile, WHAT IN THE MAKER'S NAME IS WITH REGENERATION POTION DROP RATES?

 

Seriously.

 

I think I had about two left before I went on my shopping spree, and now I have... a whopping eight.

 

Really? 54,000 gold worth of large chests, and all I can manage is six regeneration potions?

I saved up ~42k. I got jack and ****, pretty much.

Scored my 1st Purple HOK ring, Song of the Marshes, and a chain lightening ring. Rest was pretty bleh  despite having a good number of purples. 

 

I tell you though, I really which they would change the color of the runes to a completely different color. For some reason it breaks my heart even more when I see a purple only to find it's a rune and not a Sul blade.

I just spent 120k and what did I get? ENHANCED CALTROPS RING! There was some other stuff too like agony, walking bomb ring, twin fangs ring and 3 rare HoK rings but none of those can compare to the awesomeness of 30% increased caltrops duration.

I dropped 25k. Got a griffon bow (finally), three more Slayers, a counterstrike ring because my legionnaire isn't unstoppable enough yet, and a superb flanking ring, which looks like it'll be a lot of fun for my rogue classes...

Saved up 108k (90 Large Chests), didn't get anything worth being excited about. Sure I had uniques pop up, but they we're all either Superb Runes or of low item level (I got 4 Farslayer Bows yesterday). I'm still aiming for the Sulevin Blade, Thunderstrike, Superb Belt of Health, and Superb Life Drain/Crit Chance rings.

It says increases duration, not sure if that's for the taunt, the counterattack thing, or both. I didn't get a chance to try it out last night, but we'll see tonight

I saved/spent 120k. The only useful items were a superb crit chance ring and a second superb attack ring. No useful daggers. No useful bows. It's like spending a lot of gold in one sitting curses the entire haul.

 

I spent another 12k when I was done playing and got a Walking Death dagger as well as the Longbow of the Griffon (finally). Still need a purple health belt and HoK ring, plus several high-end weapons. So yeah, 10 large chests at a time from now on.

I did not get a Griffon Bow of course (been only seven months of avidly playing the Hunter so no sweat) lately, but I did get a third Blade Of Red Birth & a fourth Caliban.

Spent 50k, have 100k left to go. Finally got March of the Everlasting, my Templar is much happier now.

 

Still in search of the 200 hp belt. That's really the only item I would like to see drop in the 100k I'll spend this week when I have some time to sit down with it.

 

EDIT: Spent another 50k. Nothing of note. Damn you RNGesus.

Dragonwise you need an ice or lightning rune for the fire dragon, a fire or lightning rune for the ice dragon and a fire or ice rune for the lightning dragon.

So a lightning rune for the fire/ice dragon and a fire/ice rune for the lightning dragon. I recommend the lightning rune.

It's mastering the urge to get instant gratification - saving up for one big gobble at the loot table in a frenzied large chest spree.

Well I still have a bit to spend but I went through around 90k. RNG seems worse than ever. I think I got a grand total of 10 items that were level 20 or above. I got The Last Stand (crappy low level purple) 4 or 5 times, I got one of the bottom end staff uniques 2 or 3 times (same one) I got multiple duplicates of a few ability rings. There was Staff of the Void? or whatever its name is 21 unique staff but it had garbage stats on it (not the one with walking fortress on it). I don't see how anything has improved, not even a duplicate of a useful item I already have.

Dragons dont play much role as any rune is good against some of them, but how about other enemies? Is lightning the best choice as most enemies resis either fire or ice?

Some enemies resist either fire or ice, I'm not sure if any resists lightning, except for the lightning dragon. So I think lightning is the best choice currently.
