Geth are pretty damn impressive. GI to take out well pretty much everything but slay bosses primarly, Trooper for trash mobs with the Engineer detonating and keeping the shields up, Scumbag Prime for tanking and killing as well.

Krogan why have synergy when you can just load everyone up with claymores and yell "for Tuchanka!" at the end of every round. Not to mention the headbanging shenanigans.

You can't just play all the same character or we would have 4 GI on a team which would be a nightmare for anyone to touch. 

 

Quarian would also but pretty potent. QME and QMI with Arc Nades by themselves are a force, Marksman is a boss slayer with the best debuff in the game, and you have the FQI who is very underrated with lolstickynades.

IMO, the best Human team would probably be biotic-based.  Maybe a Human Adept, a Fury, a Slayer or Novaguard, and a Human Infiltrator with a Javelin with Phasics to drop boss shields ASAP.

 

To answer the first question though... all Drell team would probably be the best.  All-Geth team would probably be #2.  But an all-Krogan team would indisputably be the most fun.

You know you have to wonder why the Turian have such shitty guns since they are a weapon's master race. A lot of their weapons need more calibrations. 

 

They have shitty guns because they can do the job with it. Anything better and we would be totally OP. Turians are the calibrations.

 

Also, drell are very potent killlers one by one but I do not see the synergy. The adept and vanguard would compete for grenades, not much of a synergy.

 

Quorians have betters synergy with cryo, incinerate and arc grenades but there the engi and the infiltrators would compete for grenades too.

 

Geth are potent killers one by one and they have a pretty good synergy as well, with flamer trooper + engi, prime SP, proxy mine. Worthy opponents.

 

Two race can compete for the best synergy: asari for biotic and humans for tech. Asari is obvious; humans as well if you take the paladin, engi, demo girl and destroyer/nova for tech team; they also have a pretty solid biotic squad that rivals the asari: adept, furry, sentinel, nova.

Volus rule the universe. They just allow the inferior races to assume that they matter.

Best team
2 arcnade bros nuke everything in existence while the QFI/QFE sabotages and debuffs for even moar tech damage and blows things heads off. Or you can switch the QFE for a Quarksman who just guns everything down that the grenades miss.

Add race exclusive weapons requirements and it becomes even more lopsided, since without lolReegar and Arc Pistol, the other races would not even have a chance to get close to our greatness.

Quarians competing for grenades? LOOOL, what is going to survive a combined 147 Arc and Sticky grenades from all 3 kits for 10 waves, before even factoring in the ammo boxes? Especially with all the debuffs that increase their damage even moar.

You'd have a hard time arguing Turians when they only have 2 really top tier kits, and both basically have the same schtick in single target weapon damage.

Really the only objectively viable choices are Quarian, Human, Drell and perhaps Batarian (though the Sentinel severly gimps them). Others are not versatile enough against all enemy types or have a weak link (Geth Puggernaut, for instance) that drags the rest of the team down if you must use 4 different kits where applicable.
