I've seen this message a few times today, while trying to join other players and a few friends trying out the latest content for Inquisition multiplayer.

It turns out that the game (or Origin, or both?) really does not want players with different versions of the base game playing together. I have the deluxe edition, with the upgrade pack and all subsequent DLC packs up until the Dragonslayer MP expansion. If I were to try and join a game lobby containing players that are playing using the vanilla version of the base game, I get a frankly silly error message explaining that "the host or players in your target session do not have matching game content. Please check that you have all relevant content packs installed, and try again".

AFAIK, having different DLC packs installed with your base game had next to no effect on multiplayer in ME3. Hopefully, there will turn out to be a straightforward solution; other than make sure everyone pays £10 or $10 to ensure that their base games all match up with one another.

Are you sure the problem is not with people not downloading the free MP dlc yet? Because then it makes sense.

For any of the DLC packs missing, then yes this error would happen. This has also happened with other players who I know have the latest MP dlc, both with me trying to join their sessions and the reverse.

Yeah I have all the DLC, but not the deluxe edition = it's getting old.  Never had this issue with ME unless it was DLC related.  Can't seem to join games in either direction.
