Yeah, multiple Zither's doesn't mean things get dead. I like that he is a low DPS (mostly) that buffs the rest of the party.

Exactly, and anyone running a character with at least 20 promotions should have enough gear, passive boosts, and skill to run fine. However the main fear is the unskilled, selfish, or new(inactive) players are taking advantage of the update to bolster their ranks up while everyone else does all the work. Namely that Zither becomes incredible around Lvl 6 but prior to 6 can barely help the team out for even one burst of barrier and no DPS help at all since all the mana is hopefully being used on barrier

Well, I generally do 2 Routine runs which gets me to level 6, then play threatening until around 15, and then venture to Perilous, if I know I can be useful, like with Legionnaire, I wouldn't even dare venture passed Threatening until after level 13 when I get Counterstrike.

I know it's not the quickest way of levelling, but I try to benefit the party as best I can. And i've spent roughly 150 hours in the multi player, so my kits are decent

Why? It's pointless...
Threatening is a cake walk after a few promotions.
Watch a pair of level 1's finish a threatening. It's not hard with the right gear

I started zither last night on threatening and didn't have any problems. I even had a 3 kill streak goin there for a while lol. Shadohz the hunter and the duelist wrecked everything while I just strummed away and tried to keep the crap pug archer alive. After the first game got the mana regen passives and was even easier to keep barrier goin.

Zither is pretty awesome.  My first build is the support tree.  Between additional armor and team heal on hit abilities, Virtuoso is awesome.  Love all the banter too.  Great character.  :)

He is hilarious. Working on pickin up his heal on hit song. Won't have power chord(I think is the name) for quite a few levels but I can still rock out at the front surrounded by all my fans ;)
