I thought the BatSoldier would be a great melee kit: Blades to stagger, melee somebody, Blade explosion staggers again, melee somebody else, GOTO 10. Unfortunately, the other people in my lobbies kept shooting the guys I was trying to melee. They're tempting targets, given that they're held in place while I'm winding up the punch.

 

Obvious solution is hatesurfing, so that the targets will keep sliding around and prevent other people from circumventing my Righteous Batarian Justice. Shockwave hatesurfing is…good, but then I came across some videos of Lash hatesurfing and was like

 

 

I don't want to use the BatAdept for this, since I've already got a Lashless build for him that I like, and I wasn't using the BatGuard for anything else anyway. Here are two potential builds:

Which one do you prefer? What would you change to improve the one that you prefer?

If I see a Kroguard/Batguard/etc NOT using Charge to get those barriers back, and dying? I do not waste my time saving them.

This is what I use. (Warning - lashless build )

 

I use him nearly only for melee. The build kills most trooper units with one charge/punch combo. If not dead, a couple of bullets will finish it.

You have the benefit of stagger up to three enemies, barrier regen and hate surfing. Stay away from sync killing bosses and more than 2 phantoms.

And as for all vanguards - be host.

 

With a good team you won't top score, but I at least have a ton fun using this kit every now and then.

Gun choice doesn't matter much.  Play with what you like. Bonus power makes for some really good times staggering phantoms with charge -> lash -> hatesurf
