Speedrunning the Fereldan Castle, that is.  It's been public all of a few hours, and jackasses are already trolling groups that are trying to actually see what the frigging new scenery looks like.  I hate having to play through the whole map solo, just to get a feel for the new content, but with the type of monkey jerking that has become all too normal in the game, it's a bit frustrating otherwise.

That is all.

Host your own sessions?

I've yet to see a speed runner.

Every group I've joined today has been speed running everything. It's annoying as hell. They don't believe me when I tell them how loot progression works, either. That's what happens when none of the technical info is readily available.

Doesn't stop idiots from running ahead and opening the airlock/next stage's door, while you're trying to collect loot from rooms, getting a feel for the map, etc.

I've yet to see a speed runner.

My very first game in Fereldan Castle was ruined by a monkey jerker.  After we finished all the enemies on wave 4, me and a Zither went to open a mage door (a freebie as it turned out) and before we could even pop the chest, the buffoon pulled us into zone 5.

Some of us have horrible potato internet, so we shouldn't host. :P

I understand the frustration. If I wanted to be alone most of the game then I would solo.

I generally prefer speedrunning myself, actually. But majority rules and anyone who warps someone out of a treasure room should be immediately kicked, no excuses. That's just rude.

I have to agree. Usually I go with the flow, either the majority or the host if no consensus is reached. But I want to look around the damn castle. I want to find the spawn point for the seemingly endless stream of demons on the stairs (zone 3?).

To play devil's advocate, however, some people may well have practically maxed their manifest and therefore not need the increased chest bonus. They may also have been playing non-stop since the DLC came out. I could understand why they'd want to speedrun.

Edit: +1 for "monkey jerking"

Working on a way to show you in game what your score is at and where on the grade you are. The current max is around the equivalent of 150-200 large chests opened.

Please increase the ceiling with better loot. The equivalent of a thousand chests (or more) ideally. Some of us have opened over 10x that many large chests, and we haven't even been playing Isabella that long!

A lot of us can open that many chests in one session. Opening chests and salvaging just isn't worth our time with the current system.

The one game I had time for tonight, we had an Arcane Warrior stand by the warrior doors and spam the wonderful "Here, friends!" button non-stop while the rest of us were trying to enjoy wandering around and taking in the new scenery.

Like, seriously, we heard you the first eight times, friend.

L2 solo routine? Can stop and smell the roses. Also very instructive to learn what enemies do, exactly. No distractions and they don't die before they can do anything.

Log onto Arcane Warrior Katari and set it to Routine and you have all the time you need. I had to SR my first time because the guys I was playing with were terribad and I was in a hurry to get the match overwith because they started the game before I could create my dragon call.

I'm sorry, but which part of the OP, where I said "I hate having to play through the whole map solo, just to get a feel for the new content, but with the type of monkey jerking that has become all too normal in the game, it's a bit frustrating otherwise." did you guys not understand?  Bolded, italicized, and underlined for those who need the help in spotting it...;^)

It's not an issue of being able to do it on my own, it's the desire to do it at a reasonable pace, as a team.  Sadly, though, you're both probably right.  I'll likely have to load up my Katari, and run through solo, in order to take the time and explore all the nooks and crannies, the way they should be explored.

You didn't ALL CAPS. That's why we missed it. :P

In all seriousness you do have to take into account that players just spent an entire weekend doing a Loot event, they are wanting to try out new character builds AND there are dragons now. It's shouldn't be too surprising there's more SR the first few days after release. Give it a few days and let ppl gather their bearings and learn the new map layout.
