As I only play pugs these days,Lego is my preferred choice.Only problem is,that dragon is laughing at me from top of the ruins and I can do shizz.
Anyone else agree the dragon is too easy?

I'd say the routine dragons are probably spot on for routine as far as difficulty. I have no experience with perilous dragons because I don't have friends to run perilous with. The threatening dragons are DEFINITELY too easy for threatening, though. They are considerably easier than the red templar and demon faction boss battles.

Admittedly, I'm brand new to DAMP, but I think I have a good grasp of how to run levels. That said, it's agonizing to run with pub groups against the dragon. Most of the time, we never even make it. ![]()

Heck I'd rather fight a perilous dragon than the rtc faction in zone 5 of a random pug.....
I agree, but it still doesn't make a perilous dragon easy. (For pug groups anyways)
I've had mixed success in pugs, I'd say about 60/40. 60 being a win, and 40 being a fail.
I've done most of my runs on my Lego and getting to the dragon is no problem, even if everyone in my group dies in room 4.
However, when they hit the fade on the dragon phase, trying to solo a dragon with three people in the fade on a Lego is,... well lets just says my coffee went from steaming hot to ice cold, and eventually I just end up giving up. It's faster to just start all over.

Price your pay for invincibility...is trying to stay awake trying to kill anything with hp.

If people think it's too easy then they can simply put on a stat cap to Feraldan castle map.
You want more of a chalenge in Perlious, then let's cap it to 10 cons/10 will power and 10 cunning and see how you like it then.

After playing some more, and doing some Threatening runs yesterday, the dragon/fight could use a buff. However, we do have to keep in mind any new players in terms of their weps and accs.
BW, is it possible to create a dynamic algorithm that says adds up individual player's stats + weps + acc, and perhaps coming up with an average player defense+attack total, and scaling the dragon's HP and DPS based on that? Perhaps even slightly buffing lower end players (if need be to bring up to par)?
Also, the dragon could do with a bit more direct and AoE DPS to make CQC slightly higher risk. Perhaps also slight increase i terms of frequency of aggressive and defensive attacks. The dragonlings could also use a slight buff in terms of HP.
Note: saying "slight" here as I can see the scales (pun intended) being tipped a little too much.
New difficulty: add a second dragon of different element (element unknown until it appears).

If you go with a bard, anything is easy. That guy makes everyone into an arcane warrior. Want a challenge? Don't bring along a barrier spam.

The biggest challenge with dragons is working around that weird hit box

Then we'd just have games filled with Arcane Warriors instead.
I like this new world without them and also the fact that people are more inclined to stick together as a group.

I like how people with 150+ willpower complain that threatening dragon is too easy for them.
IMO, dragons made by Bioware always had some rather predictable attack pattern and required certain positioning to avoid being hit. It is similar in single player and was almost similar in previous DA games. It was possible to solo dragon in DAO or DA2 on nightmare difficulty with a dual-wielding rogue without being hit a single time. But it was not easy without knowing where to stand and where to hit. Actually, DAI-SP and specifically Ferelden Castle dragons are challenging compared to their predecessors. There are some apparent invulnerability spots though from which you can hit from relative safety and once these are exploited, then, yes, I can imagine that it goes pretty smoothly.

For newer players it's a steep climb, which needs to somehow be accomodated, while playing along side heavily promoted characters. Not saying this will be easy, but BW can work the numbers.

That's what the two trebuchets are for, pre-wind them to just before firing right when you enter the area, and shoot him from the roof the moment he lands. Pre-wind again after firing if you're not going to kill him outright.

That's why we need Mabari. A pack would bite it and prevent it from flying off again: "Where is the Dragon? Where is it? Yes! Fetch the Dragon!"

Seeing a dragon fly around with a bunch of Mabari stuck to it hanging by their jaws would be worth it alone

I have decent stats but i'd love to see a base STAT cap on Fereldan Castle map so everyone is playing on equal footing and the game is then more weapon/armour and skill focused.
Many other MMO's do similar things and pretty much each of these maps is like running dungeon or a raid in an MMO so should employ the same logic.
At the same time it will knock down all those players on their high horses who think the game is too easy when a great percentage of them have been exploiting the prestige/promotion system since day one.

A high dragon should be a struggle.
They could make routine and threatening cost 0 mats so people can train to do perilous High Dragon, which at the moment is the End Game content and should be treated as a challenge for all.
