In essence, this thread is a circle.
There is no point.
(unlike the incredibly productive- and invariably civil- discussions in the SP sections, am I right? Lol... )

I really like Tom and he's a stellar QB and one of the best QB's ever (Top 5 for sure).
But...... This era of NFL and most importantly the passing game and rules are so skewed to QB's and passing. Way more than Montana era's. Way more.
I think that if say Elway, Montana and Marino played in this current NFL era they would throw 60 touchdowns and 6000 yards every season.
Still tho..... Brady is a great champion and greatest QB of his generation.

Has she also reached maymay status like Bill Murray and Jeff goldblum?
Max manifest? No.

I am the greatest ever
While I agree wholeheartedly with this, the last 2 stats are completely bogus. How can you have 644 touchdowns of 20+ yards and only 392 total touchdowns. Math.
Though it'd be interesting to see what the stats of some of the all-time greats look like if adjusted for the (universally upward) trends in comp %, yards and td's that has accompanied all the rule changes. I have a sneaking suspicion that the stats of guys like Montana and Marino would look absolutely ridiculous in today's NFL, and would put the likes of Tom Brady and Peyton Manning to shame.
This is pretty fair actually. It's really impossible to compare greats from one generation to the next because of how the leagues change over time. It's the case in every sport really. I can say without a doubt that Brady is the best QB of his GENERATION, but it's impossible to say he is better than someone who played in the previous one.
That being said, using your logic in reverse, Brady might have been even better in the previous generation. Who knows? Put that guy with Walsh and Montana with Belicheck and what happens?
