One of the previous patches completely broke crafted shields, but was fixed quickly. I wonder if they will get this taken care of fast or not.

Well, because software is kind of like this:
And when you patch something, it's like removing a block from the very middle. If it's a graphics change, its like removing a block from the bottom layer.
