Well the new DLC is great - the new map is great and love to finally have dragons. But it's already become pretty clear to me after about 10+ threatening dragon runs (and most of those I put up the call) that they reward diddly-squat (not even any notable gold to cover the cost of chests/mats). What Bioware seem to be saying is, unless you're doing Perilous then there really isn't any point at all at doing dragon runs - just not worth the mats and the time for the outcome.
I gotta say this is disappointing as I mainly PUG and I find Perilous, even though I am maxed on out gear, can be a real pain with PUGs. I'm stuck in the rut like many other 'threatening' players, where I'd probably benefit most from the new gear to progress more confidently into Perilous. We don't all have 100+ promotions and been exploiting bugs the last few months to become OP. Seems it is the latter playerbase that gets to show off the new shinies.
Dunno what the answer is - I'm not necessarily wanting rewards on a plate, but I'm sensing the drop rate for ubers on threatening (if they even can drop?) is so unrealistic that it would almost be pointless.
Grinding is fine, but not when there is a serious mat cost involved with every attempt.
Is there meant to be other new loot in the game, via chests? I've heard mention of flame inquisition weapons. I've spent over 40k gold on chests and got nothing, so gave up there too. Maybe patched in later. But, you know, would actually be good to know all this stuff Bioware :-/
