I'm not sticking my neck out here, but let me just say I'm grabbing a big bag of popcorn to watch the battle of all battles unfold between women that demand more powerful "cool guys" and women that demand more representation of women in charge.
*nom*
I think they are certainly capable of having a good balance. There
should be a decent amount of well written, multi-faceted characters of
each gender that don't descend into exaggerated stereotypes or are there for set dressing (this is a general statement, not a comment on DA games specifically).
That said... one of the things that sets BioWare and the Dragon Age series apart is their use and portrayal of women. They are an
exception, not the rule. I like Dragon Age too and I also want to see good male characters in DA. BUT there are a ton of other series I can go to if I
really need to see/play some, not so much for the female characters.
But... the last half of the OP's post just makes me think it's a troll. And honestly, that just hinders discussion.
If anyone ever told you, dear Bioware people, that women are entertained by watching women, they've been pulling your leg.

But I ended up getting annoyed that every single character I met on my travels was female, with very, very few exceptions that were then either weak, bumbling fools, crazy villanous mages, or old and ugly. Almost every town had its' lesbians, so I was wondering were all the gay guys went (aside from Dorian.).
...
And we want to meet cool male characters, not fools like Alistar, we want dazzling emperors, swashbuckling pirates, courageous wizards and they should be young and good-looking thank you. I tried to remove Celene. No luck. I tried to find male NPC-mages to join my army - no luck.
Part of this is personal preference only, part is hyperbolic 'observation,' and part is just not accurate at all.
