I saw an FFXV pic, so, obligatory posting.

The hype is real.

Actually kind of agree there if you want dreamy guys and girls Japan's around for that gaming-wise...

There's also Thrancred from FFXIV (for the 10 people that actually pay attention to story when playing MMOs lol)

Some people seem to confuse rpgs with dating-sims, I think.

I'd love to know where these towns full of lesbians are so my Inquisitor can go on holiday there.

It unlocks on the Wartable as a location after you finished everything in the Hinterlands including exploration, quests, shards and so forth.

It's... it's not that I'm suddenly wanting to spam the forums with GIFs tonight.

It's just that the posts are so deserving of GIFs.

Hm. Is it wrong for me as a straight male person to actually... feel... euh...

Want in my game.

Also given the goings-on in this thread I will point out that I have no monopoly on liking these dudes and that

- (other) straight males
- straight females
- gay males
- gay females
- bi females
- bi males
- trans males who still love men (and/or women)
- trans females who also love men (and/or women)
- asexual males or females
- pansexual males or females
- people of undetermined sex and/or gender

are, of course, free and even encouraged to like them. Cool dudes for everybody!

(I profusely apologise if I failed to represent anybody in my list.)

P.S. Edit: Now I also want such a cast of "bad" girls please.

I am sorry I misspelled band. I meant band not bad. And you forget transblack. You racist baster. Oh and motorsexuals.

You gotta earn that lovin'.

It's worth it, though, they make this really awesome vitar and they have like fifty different ones on sale for nearly no gold because it can be unlocked after the starting area!

The town could have done without Anders, though and I'm still not sure how he got himself trapped in that cavern to begin with. Still, the cinematic were awesome especially outrunning that dragon with Sigrun and the others. The explaination on why Sten was there could been elaboated on a bit but hey, it was nice seeing him again.

And Okatukin,

I had this crazy imagination where nerds like myself who enjoy video games, anime, and manga more than social interaction are claiming to be "Otakhuns" for special benefits when working. "Must be able to watch thirty minutes of anime, not included in my break time".

But then I reread your post :/ I'm sad that it isn't a thing.. Maybe I should try to make it a thing!

I just know that I can't take the OP seriously.   Making such silly sweeping statements, claiming to speak for all women, stating that women don't want to see women in their game.  Smells like a troll, so I'm taking the thread just as seriously.  :P

You never know, it could work. There's a guy in Sweden who's able to claim disability benefits because he was diagnosed with an addiction to heavy metal. He has a part time job where he's allowed to listen to metal constantly and gets time off to go to gigs. He also gets additional financial help to deal with his addiction. Lucky bastard.

I tried to remove Celene. No luck.

If you tried to remove Celene and failed, you've only yourself to blame. They say in big letters "Do nothing. (CELENE WILL DIE)"

So this "letter to Bioware" is mostly to make you remember that we're a growing crowd - us female players. And we want to meet cool male characters, not fools like Alistar, we want dazzling emperors, swashbuckling pirates, courageous wizards and they should be young and good-looking thank you. I tried to remove Celene. No luck. I tried to find male NPC-mages to join my army - no luck.

I don't believe the modern gamer-guy has so low self-esteem, that you deliberately take out cool male NPC's.

Or do you?

lol!! Had to give it a like for this.  More sexy fun men would be nice. Though I'm not that big of a fan of Zevran.  He wasn't very attractive to me at all.

Alistair wasn't that bad of a romance but after several playthroughs he starts to grate on the nerves big time.  To the point where I just leave his head cut off in my canon.

I've seen your Bruce Dickenson remarks the other night.  Got room for a fellow metalhead or two?  I think my husband would love to collect money from such a disability.

I think it's troll post.

It reminds of this troll that was all over youtube for awhile named Bertha.  Pretty much every stereotype you've heard about feminists was in this character.  Note that I said character, as Bertha was proven to be a fake persona created by some bored guy.  I'm sensing another character, a caricature even, in the OP.

What made me chuckle, other than the LGBT thing, was the idea that all women want to see some m/m action.  I am all about my gay/bisexual guy friends getting theirs, but I have no desire to see it.  I might enjoy it if I was playing a male character with Dorian, but otherwise random guy on guy action never does a thing for me.  I know that's something that some women enjoy, particularly those that write m/m slashfic, but it's never been an enjoyment of mine.

I hear you, but I would suspect that none of the characters in a Bioware game have the slightest idea of which sex they are.  In fact they seem to be very confused about the subject.

I notice that trolls often create the best threads on BSN.  At least they get people talking.

Oh, and yeah I will be playing FFXV *drools*

I liked your comment with some hesitation and I feel I should explain. I think anyone should be able to make a claim on the forum, but be exposed to good constructive criticism. Plenty of people have good counter points and voiced concerns for me in the thread. I would be a hypocrite if I didn't wish the same for females when I supported another persons post wanting more aesthetically pleasing gear or, characters, next game they make.

I thought it was a troll so I liked too hah.

I always think it's a bad idea to come into any forum and start claiming to speak for all of your group or gender or whatever.  The royal "we" is usually a great way to get me to start mocking someone's point.  That's where my problem lies.  I don't think that the posts and ideas that have come into the thread are invalid at all.  I'm glad you feel the same, but I'm noticing a big difference in your language.  You're talking about what you'd prefer to see and you share that opinion with others.  That's fine by me.  You aren't using the royal "we" and trying to speak for everyone.

Not to you, but in general...With this "all women think alike crap" crap, look...just because we both have boobs and enjoy the same game doesn't make you and I the same.  You don't speak for me and I don't speak for you.

This is why I don't mind threads like the boob plate thread.  Even the OP isn't claiming to speak for all men, and the folks in that thread aren't doing the same either.  I may disagree with some of the viewpoints in there, but no one is trying to speak for all men or all women out there.  This OP is, and that is going to automatically make me more inclined to dismiss anything they have to say.  That doesn't mean that I'm going to be nearly as dismissive with posters that might agree with him/her.  You're speaking for yourself and as long as that's the case, I don't mind one bit.  I can disagree without being rude, because you're not trying to speak for all women that might play this game.

I hesitate to write people off as trolls, these days it seems that most peoples definition of a troll is "Somebody on the Internet I disagree with." Even so, "trolls" generally seem to spark up some good debates, even if they don't stick around to contribute.
