I liked your comment with some hesitation and I feel I should explain. I think anyone should be able to make a claim on the forum, but be exposed to good constructive criticism. Plenty of people have good counter points and voiced concerns for me in the thread. I would be a hypocrite if I didn't wish the same for females when I supported another persons post wanting more aesthetically pleasing gear or, characters, next game they make.
I thought it was a troll so I liked too hah.
I always think it's a bad idea to come into any forum and start claiming to speak for all of your group or gender or whatever. The royal "we" is usually a great way to get me to start mocking someone's point. That's where my problem lies. I don't think that the posts and ideas that have come into the thread are invalid at all. I'm glad you feel the same, but I'm noticing a big difference in your language. You're talking about what you'd prefer to see and you share that opinion with others. That's fine by me. You aren't using the royal "we" and trying to speak for everyone.
Not to you, but in general...With this "all women think alike crap" crap, look...just because we both have boobs and enjoy the same game doesn't make you and I the same. You don't speak for me and I don't speak for you.
This is why I don't mind threads like the boob plate thread. Even the OP isn't claiming to speak for all men, and the folks in that thread aren't doing the same either. I may disagree with some of the viewpoints in there, but no one is trying to speak for all men or all women out there. This OP is, and that is going to automatically make me more inclined to dismiss anything they have to say. That doesn't mean that I'm going to be nearly as dismissive with posters that might agree with him/her. You're speaking for yourself and as long as that's the case, I don't mind one bit. I can disagree without being rude, because you're not trying to speak for all women that might play this game.
