It doesn't strike you odd at all that someone would make a post, and then not post again on the account? The OP made a post right before posting the original thread. The topic may have been serious, and I agreed that males and females lack "eye candy". I factored in that Not-Brevnau was banned four or so hours prior and the account being fresh. It seemed like a good way to pull a 180 and plot twist us all.
I have a good imagination.
That's irrelevant, I read the OP and I didn't go zomg this person is just trying to get a rise out of me. I thought, huh, ok guy-guy action in the middle of a video game.. um.. ok.. but is that really going to enhance the scenario? Is it a game design aspect? Is it a new form of questing? Is it a startling new form of characterization?
If the OP does happen to get rise out of you (or any other person here) that's your business and the person is not "trolling," because as far as I can tell decrying someone for that is speaking for everyone (like me) who feels nothing one way or another. I didn't think the Brevnau thread was trolling either. He thinks the DA:I characters are ugly, fine, whatever. I can either A) Know they're not basically and so don't care or B ) Agree. The only people who find him to be trolling are thus people that probably feel the same way.
For example I don't think I've ever ignored a person on a forum or in a video game ever, even that stream of "anal" chat you saw in WoW barrens or something... it's just people being whatever I don't care, I don't take it seriously. I've actually been posting in threads calm as a cucumber, but evidently were inflamed to the brim and as I'm about to post it says "this thread is locked," like really? Someone was offended by what we were talking about there?
The only reasons people seem to treat suggestions as trolling is frequently because they're on the same wavelength. Ergo, if someone says we need some guy-guy action and perceives that to be trolling it's because they probably had the same thought (perhaps on a deeper subconscious level) and are feeling squeamish about someone else exposing their inner-most thoughts.
