BW, just wanted to say thanks for this DLC.  The new characters and Fereldan Castle map with Dragon, is pure awesome!!

Salvage: Also, well done on listening to the community and adding the new salvaging system.  Exactly what I (and some others) were looking for!  :)

Re-spec: Thanks for this as well!!  :)

After playing each character yesterday, here's my take:

1st place: Virtuoso

Between his personality and abilities = pure win!

2nd place: Isabela

Sexy thang. Yes she is.  Love her abilities too.  Tears it up!  Also, her banter with Avvar "shrinkage...!!"  :)

3rd: Avvar

Love the horned outfit.  Kinda wish VO had been different (sounds exactly like AW).  Kick ass powers overall.  Would like to see a bit more guard generation (on hit?) like the Katari now has.

Crafting Dragon Call

The only thing I am thinking on is the crafting of Dragon Call.  Whenever I play the castle I like fighting the dragon, so this is going to consume mats pretty quickly.  I understand that other players can craft them too, but I noticed out of a number of matches yesterday I was prettty much the only one to use the call (one player did a call out of 10+ sessions).

Wondering if there can be a tweak to the crafting.  Perhaps if the team beats the dragon, some or all of the mats used for crafting the call are rewarded back to the player who gonged?  Or perhaps lower the mats requirements?  Has there been any consideration to simply remove crafting requirement, and any player can gong?  "Free Dragons for everyone!!"  <-- just used a jedi mind trick on you.

Anyhow, just bringing this up since I love fighting the dragons, but can see how quickly my/our stash is going.

Great job with Dragonslayer BW.  Really enjoying it.  Thanks!  :)

+1. Also enjoyed the effort that went into the stream yesterday, not easy doing stuff like that and keeping it going without descending into idiocy. Thanks BW guys, this DLC is great stuff.

I am in a dilemma on this subject.  For ME3MP I normally contributed funds in the way of buying what would in this case be platinum after each expansion.  Not because I had any hope of RNG delivering anything to me but because someone has to fund these free to play games.  One reason we have a DAMP is the success of ME3MP audience wise and profit wise.

Now here is the problem I face.  I have enjoyed the 1st part of DAMP, I enjoyed the 1st small expansion and I have enjoyed and been impressed with the new expansion.  I have played a lot of hours.  All good things.  However the instability of the product has driven me to distraction.  Way, way, way too many disconnects, crashes to desktop, crashes to mp character screen, endless 'busy' crashes where I have to actually turn off the xbox to go along with a few highly annoying design decisions (my rants against the game trying to force me to host)

No game is perfect or totally stable and I can accept the odd problem but about the things that do not allow me to actually play the game are much much too frequent.

No question Beerfish.  These bugs have been around since day 1.  I really hope BW can nail them down, as it is painfully obvious the amount of posts about connection and other various "why aren't these bugs fixed yet?" posts.  It is exactly why I host tbh.

If I host, the world will end. Sometimes a host migration will select me, and the game becomes a revolving door of people stuck at the start of the zone and alt + F4.

For a DLC to have near universal acclaim around here is pretty incredible. So many winners in this DLC...the map is fantastic. Heck, everything is fantastic. My only small gripe would be the ease of getting the dragon weapons, but I can get over that if there are better weapons available in the store.

Yeah the DLC is absolutely fantastic.  Love the castle, it's huge, gorgeous and at the same time presents new challenges with the horde of enemies coming from every direction.  I was bitching about the Avvar yesterday but that doesn't mean I don't appreciate the effort Bioware has put into this amazing new content.  Got a new staff a couple of hours ago.  Super happy with it.  Looking forward to more content as awesome as this.

I'm not a fan of huge, tank-like characters and naturally, the Avvar was my first unlock. So, I whined. I had a little cheese, too. But, yeah. Really excited and happy about the the little tweaks, new characters, 3 versions of a new map.... great stuff.

Same here. Why I ever get selected as host I will never understand. To all who get stuck on my host I apologize. It's not my fault I swear.

Love the characters and the ability to respec. Loads of fun to play. Love new map. Hate that slaying a dragon can get you zero gold and zero loot. The FAQ states otherwise. If it's working as intended, it needs to be reflected in the FAQ. I probably won't be crafting anymore hammers.

New event gives trolling speedrunners a whole new set of lols.

Step 1. Grab the torch

Step 2. stand next to the door

Step 3. they inevitably try to do the zone themselves and die

Step 4. Beat the zone with the remaining team members

Step 5. Jump all over the dead speedrunners' corpses, dropping caltrops if you have them

Step 6. ROFL

I would like to say that the new option to set your map to random is second best thing that happened to this game after removing player collisions earlier this year(which I am afraid I didn´t thank for). I didn´t catch it in notes, so that´s why it took me two days to notice.

Now just make enemies being selectable and/or shoot red commander in head and it´s bliss

(third best thing is Ferelden castle)

Also is it my imagination that you can stop burning damage on Fire Ferelden castle by stepping into puddles of water?

I only remember Isabela very faintly from Origins since I haven't played DA2 that far, but I quite like the character in MP. She's quite unique and I love that gangway backflip spin. She plays smoothly animation-wise which is great.

Virtuoso is very unique, almost no animation locks, drive-by casting and a simple mechanic to allow very versatile play depending on the build - well done.

Ferelden Castle is quite challenging - PuGs have quite some difficulties. I think it's a good map to promote team play. Same goes for the veilfire event but I don't think the impeded vision is a good thing.

Those 4 Despair demons on wave 3 is insane:)

Dragons are little too (cowardly)craven? for my taste, though.

I'm really, really impressed with this expansion. Today was my first day playing Fereldan Castle and fighting the dragon, and my jaw was just on the floor! The detail of the level is amazing.

I'm just shocked that they released such a nice expansion like this 6 months into the game when it seemed like a lot of people had moved on to greener pastures. I'm loving the new classes too (another aspect that pleasantly surprised me), especially the duelist (love the virtuoso too, although i haven't delved much into playing him, love having him in a group though).

I havent really played enough of the DLC to comment on the characters but I will say that I like the fact that you can now set maps to random and that you can now re-spec without having to promote. Given the amount of technical issues with the game even now (having real trouble when using the quick-search) and the fact that this is our first real DLC (Destruction was not good enough content wise) i'm reluctant to place my trust in Bioware. I'm hoping that this DLC will be supplemented with additional content on a frequent bassis as 3 new characters wont be able to hold my attention more than a couple of weeks. Still I'm seeing more communication from the devs and the weekly patches is a nice touch and a step in the right direction

I'm enjoying it. Plus when I was drinking and playing last night, I got mixed up and went the wrong way in the torch stage... While carrying the torch.

My keeper was being followed around by three Isabelas like a mother hen and her chicks, all the way back to the beginning of the stage until I said "oops, sorry!"

I want to craft Dragon Calls, but i also still need to unlock Isabella and the Skywatcher, and a ton of armour for the rest of my characters. As much as i'd like to fight the dragon each round, i prefer to unlock all characters now.

That said, if they'd drop the cloth requirement i could craft a ton of dragon calls because the only thing i'm short on is cloth.

There's some issues, but I'm very much enjoying all of the new content.  The map feels drastically different to the other three, dragon fights are great fun, and the classes are unique and entertaining.

Yeah guys, great job!

Especially on the new map. Me and a friend had an amazing time playing Fereldan Castle the first time yesterday.

The ladders and how the architecture motivates you to lay out the fights to your own liking are great addition, and the map feels very Dragon Age-y. Arriving at the docks and fighting your way up there also gave a real sense of progression; and our characters actually arriving at & being on a mission. High Dragon fights in the SP were great, but with your best friend being your "companion", it's just EPIC. There was lots of "unintentionally-sort-of-in-character" screaming throughout the entire fight.

It's my favourite map right off the bat!

Isabela's return is also heartwarming. My experience was that I deliberately didn't download the DLC until my buddy got around to; so I wouldn't "accidentally" experience any of the new content. Little did I know the new characters could still be seen being controlled by other players. I started a new public game on my own in Orlais, until I suddenly heard my fembro from DA2 taunt an enemy in her very unique way, when someone had joined my game - I grinned whidely.

It wasn't even like I was playing with whatever-their-GT-was (thanks dude/girl - you're my hero), but really as if isabela from DA2 had hijacked my match to help me out. Great moment, thanks for that!

I was skeptical about this DLC cause I thought that after months of waiting, one map, three classes and dragons were not enough, specially because I think maps and enemies were the most important things.

But after reading you guys, I'm going to try it

Definitely do.  It is a great release.  I suspect more to come as well.
