We can ask questions?
Do you feel that the central conflicts of DAI were properly resolved
considering the fact the Orlesian Civil War consisted of one quest and the Mage Templar war ended very abruptely? Speaking from a personal experience, I only realized the war was over when I heard banter telling me so.

Do you use similar processes when writing video game characters as you would characters in a novel? Are there any key differences?
Has learning to write dialogue with a word budget in mind impacted the way you write dialogue in your novels?
Which parts of writing for the games do you most enjoy- dialogue, quest paths, codex entries etc?

Humm, not the greatest, but:
Is the one character per game DA rule a fixed one? Could potential sequels keep the same protagonist, like DA4 starring our Inquisitor again as an example, or is the DA team pretty focused on keeping up with a fresh PC for each installment? I'm fine either way, though I totally wouldn't mind seeing more of our Inquisitor in DA4. XD

Patrick has said before that he writes to create good 'moments'...
What does he consider makes a good 'moment'?
Ideally with examples of good moments that he or others have written?
Thanks

Was Solas ever a member of a Dalish clan? If yes, was he a Keeper? What happened to make him become so adverse toward the People?

While the game was great, did you ever feel that there were some parts, main story quests in particular, that still needed some more work?

1. If he/she survived the 5th Blight, will The Hero of Ferelden make a cameo or play a larger role in future games like Hawke did in DA:I?
2. The Chantric religion has been a standing theme in the games. Will the other other religions of Thedas have a turn in the spotlight now due to the assertions made by Corypheus and the appearance of The Dread Wolf himself?
3. Will previous protagonists such as The Hero of Ferelden and The Champion reclaim their places as playable characters in future installments?
4. Where Velanna at?
5. How chaotic is writing for the future when considering the many different world state possibilities?
6. Will we ever have the opportunity to romance characters from previous games? Or will previous protagonist get second chances provided they are single? For example my Warden romanced Morrigan and performed the Dark Ritual and later tracked her to the Eluvian but did not follow. I like to think they are still close and while my Warden has a role in his son's life he and Morrigan are no longer romantically involved as she states in DA:I provided those world state choices. Whether through direct control or being guided through a new protagonist, my ideal romantic situation for the Hero is moving on to eventually becoming involved with Dorian.
7.And similarly, will any new protagonist have the opportunity to romance non romanced characters from previous games or non-romancable characters such as Bethany/Carver, Vivienne, Sten or Nathaniel?
8. Dragons are stated as being endangered. Is it possible that there will ever be in-game rewards for NOT driving this beautifully majestic species towards extinction?

how does it feel to take over from David Gaider as lead writer for DA?
Can we have a post-game DLC that focus on the aftermath of the main story (e.g. divine problems, grey wardens etc.)

Hope that goes well.
Hmm. I suspect asking questions is much harder than it appears because a wide range of questions that folk would wish to know can't be asked:
- Plot - Tell me what will happen with plot point X or Y? - As if those are going to be answered.
- Unannounced - What's the next DLC about? - A nice scoop, but no.
- Snark - So why exactly do you have to fetch Ram meat? - Snark masquerading as a question will hardly open up the conversation.
If you find yourself short of questions, may I suggest a couple more:
- How different is it writing for a new IP, with essentially a blank page vs. writing within established lore you control (Dragon Age), or even within established lore you don't control (Baldur's Gate's Forgotten Realms setting)?
- Do fan tears reduce the writing risks you are willing to take? Or are you more likely to push ahead with challenging writing because some fans may have their head canon disrupted?
