OP's so concerned with tryhards that they didn't try hard enough. Besides, we all know that the real crutch is having a copy of the game. Real Purists solo platinum with level 1 human soldier with avenger and predator using a copy of Pong.

There's nothing pure about the MP now. If you want purity, you have to age 3 years younger and play the MP before any balance changes. It is impssible. Shooting rockets into the sky does not make you pure. This is clearly one of those "I'm virgin again!" threads.

I am not good at trolling because I am not trolling. With each DLC Bioware gave us they made the game easier and easier. Back in my day people would use wall hax to cheat at games. But you don't need to because Bioware just gave everyone a cheat code. Using IV equipment should only be done in platinum games while it is my belief that III is more than enough for any difficulty, IV in gold games is try hard mode. The gear slot ruied this game completely. Bioware gave players 5 extra "Win" buttons with Grenade Capacity V.

There are so many people who play this game wrong. It actually funny how they try so hard, yet can't compete without using some super OP kit/weapon/consumable. I am a purist. Playing anything other than the following is unbelievably try hardy, and needs to be laughed at.

Kits:

Anything that isn't vanilla. Basically the first four options in each class.

Weapons:

Only weapons that were shipped in game are okay. No DLC. Especially no Reegar, Harrier, Acolyte.

Consumables:

No level IV of any kind. And no gear, if you really need gear only weapon amps are okay.

Missiles:

No missiles unless you need to, and that's only on objective waves, I shoot off all my missiles in the sky if I get any in packs so I stay at 0.

The absolute ban list:

TGI, GI, AIU, Infiltrators in general are for try hards. Reegar Carbine, Harrier, Hurricane, Acolyte. Any Snap Freeze is an absolute sin, same with flamer. Venom, or anything that doesn't need aiming.


Now you know how not to be a total scrub and can join me in purity.
