I'm sure this will get lost in the glut of ME2 issues, but I'm replaying ME1 right now and all of a sudden the screen goes black (audio continues as normal though) and resets, once or twice, taking approximately 15-30 seconds each time. This ONLY occurs during cut/dialog scenes. It never happens in combat. One time I tried alt-tabbing out, and it gave me a nvidia kernel error. I'm using a Geforce 285 and the most up to date drivers on the site. Could that be the problem? Help would be hot? I really want to import a savegame for ME2 but i lost all my old saves in a hard drive crash. I don't know where this issue came from.

Maybe your system doesn't have the proper codec for the cutscenes. If they are .bik files like Mass Effect 2 you can test this by d/l'ing the Rad Video Tools www.radgametools.com/bnkdown.htm
Just locate the .bik files and try to play one of them.

No, unfortunately, that's not it. It's some kind of driver/video card issue. I got a Nvidia Kernel failure error one time. I just updated to some beta drivers, but that doesn't seem to have helped.
