I'll never understand this extreme hatred people here have for the very idea of Leliana being a LI in Inquisition.

I don't know if I'd call it a hatred.

I really wish people wouldn't give the developers the impression that the entirety of their efforts should be dedicated to making romances to satisfy every conceivable demand.

You can't /thread your own post you clueless amateur.

Well, you people sure aren't happy when someone haves to audacity to suggest it.

Exactly, sometimes it comes across more like;

"How dare Leliana or Morrigan wish to have gotten laid once in over ten years, just because I romanced the other, Alistair or Zevran!"

Maker forbid, they actually have a life outside of the Warden?

What a stupid idea for a DLC, almost as bad as "make Mother Giselle Divine DLC"

Hmm, I think it is more to do with the fact that it has already been stated by BioWare many times before, that the LI's from previous games would never be an LI option for a different protagonist in future games.

Kind of makes all these threads that pop constantly redundant, no?

Which is strange, considering that Zevran was a LI option in the first game and if unromanced, could be slept with in DA2?

(And even if he was romanced, but that was actually due to a bug, so it's not fair to count it?)

Same thing with Isabela. who was an optional fling for the Warden in Origins, only to become a full LI for Hawke in DA2?

And while it goes nowhere, there can be a mutual attraction between Cullen and the female Mage Warden in Origins, despite being a full LI for the Inquisitor? The fact that Cullen will mention her in all three games shows that he still remains a tad wistful about her, even a decade after?

Kinda makes it hard to accept Bioware saying they'd never allow you to romance someone who was a (pseudo) LI from a previous game, when they already have brought back several people who had some romantic involvement with a previous protagonist, including two people you might have slept with (or had the option to) as the Warden?

Isabela and Zevran are also promiscuous so they'll sleep with anyone, Leliana wasn't like that

To me, it is mostly because I cannot see it working very well or to the romantic degree people want because of how the characters are in Inquisition, they do not seem like a serious relationship or even a fling would be something they'd be seriously interested in.

Unless the Warden convinces her to allow Zevran and Isabela into bed with them?

Well, Solas wasn't exactly looking for a relationship, either. It surprised him.

And does she sleep with other people after that?

Not that we know of, but does that dismiss the unwillingness of her to engage in a multi-partner event? It's really hard to say what cards are off the table when it comes to her? Is a threesome fine, but casual sex suddenly pushing it way too far for her? We cannot presume to know?

While not about her own activities, I'd like to point out that if you become the King of Ferelden, she's fine being your mistress, despite it being obvious that you'll be having sex with Anora? Are we to believe that she's willing to be the bit of the side of an unfaithful man, yet she won't have the occasional booty call?

I'm not saying that Leliana is one to sleep around, but I think we should stop putting her on such a pedestal or thinking she's practically a nun (even though she was amusingly training to be one) when it comes to what she might get up to in her own sex life?

Considering how any relationship she has could be used against her or Justinia, I can see two possibilities; Either she abstained from any kind of dalliances for the past decade, or she was forced to only have quick meaningless flings, so to avoid any attachments whatsoever?

I can sort of see Leliana as Left Hand (if not romanced) use sex as a weapon every now and again to trick the enemies of Justinia, but seeing how she is so straightforward and brutal in Inquisition and uses assassination as the only solution to everything, I have doubts really.

If she is romanced, I'm pretty sure she didn't.

The fact that she refused to seduce/sleep with her targets during her time as a bard once she fully committed to a relationship with Marjolaine is enough proof.

Do we actually know that though, all we got from Origins is that she has used seduction in the past? From Leliana's Song, we can see that despite being lovers, Marjolaine still had no qualms about sleeping with Raleigh, even knowing that it bothered Leliana? While I suppose it could imply that she wasn't sleeping around on Marjolaine despite her infidelity, did she say she wasn't?

Admittedly, I've not finished TME yet so I've no idea if I've missed something she might have said regarding that relationship, I know that Marjolaine is mentioned early on in the novel, but does it crop up later?

And she makes an innuendo about Cullen.

Hussy.

I knew it. I knew it was only a matter of time before there was ship tease between her and Cullen. She has something (filrting/pior fling/chemistry) with Alistair, Zevran, Fenris, Anders, and now Cullen.

I knew it.

Quoth Varric, "Is there anyone in Ferelden you haven't slept with, Rivaini?"

Isabela x Ferelden is practically canon.

why would any one fall in love with a person that already in love with another person
leliana love the warden , so  starting a romance with her will only  hurt you and her .  if you love her let her love who she want to love

I haven't read The Masked Empire so can't comment on that.

Regarding Leliana's Song, Leliana never does outright say she didn't sleep with anyone but it would be very hypocritical if she scowls Marjolaine about sleeping with Raleigh yet Leliana herself sleeps with others as well. Leliana strikes me as the kind of person who doesn't want to share herself or her lover while in a relationship. She and Alistair have similar views about relationships, even if Alistair isn't, eh, experienced as Leliana during Origins.

For the threesome/foursome in Origins, you can convince Alistair to join in as well yet I don't see as many fans complaining or arguing about Alistair being promiscuous. Also you can marry Alistair as Queen and have Leliana as your mistress and he doesn't complain about it either. And seeing as there is no option in Dragon Age Keep about the threesome/foursome, the writers probably wrote that scenario off as non-canon anyway.
