Actually two of them flopped, SW Galaxies, and ToR... :-((

No. Just no.
Also, SWG was not a BioWare failure.

You're right, I take the SWG part back.

People would play it. People would pay for it. I would not be one of them (unless it turned out to be the best, gotta-play-it game, but I don't see an MMO hitting that button for me.)
If there is ever the belief that it would be a long-term profitable venture, I have little doubt that some form of it would happen (and there would likely be rage over it.) If they never come to the belief that it would make a lot of money, then it probably won't happen.
Either way, I'm not going to lose sleep worrying about it. And while I don't think it's a good idea, I won't be bothered if BioWare goes ahead and does it.
And for the record, I do like TOR. But I just do the F2P thing, so obviously I don't like it enough to subscribe.

I enjoyed SWToR very much, being the best PvP "Tank" (secret hybrid spec) Juggernaut on the server. The toxic community on my server was what ultimately ruined the game for me, but the game itself was a lot of fun for a while.
This one time my friend Pete broke an entire server by sleeping with the raidleader's girlfriend. So the 3 of us that were left were transferred by Bioware to another server. But that's another story.

My love of Star Trek is nigh unparalleled. I tried STO. I couldn't play more than three hours.
My love of Star Wars is nigh unparalleled. I tried TOR. I couldn't play more than five hours.
My love of Final Fantasy is nigh unparalleled. I tried FFXIV: ARR. I couldn't play more than eight hours.
My love of my girlfriend back in 2006 was nigh unparalleled. She made me try World of Warcraft. Even for her, I couldn't play more than ten hours.
My love of Mass Effect is nigh unparalleled. I will probably not bother trying a Mass Effect MMORPG. I know when I'm beaten. MMOs are not for me.

First thing to do would to be preemptively invade Thessia. Or organize a clandestine black ops to make the Asari repuplics invade Earth. Oh boy, I can't decide which is better. Can I have both?

I expect ME:Next to in fact be a Destiny clone, but I hope my expectations are wrong.

They could do it the right way and have enormous success but honestly that's unlikely to happen. Basically make a game like Destiny but with a plot line that isn't retarded and have a more diverse array of characters and powers. Someone could make a good MMO but generally they find ways to **** it up instead.

Agreed, borrowing some aspects of the Destiny model and improving them could work, especially Raids. Those would be awesome in a Mass Effect setting, actually.
A WoW-esque MMO... may be good, I'm just not a huge fan of such MMORPGs.

FTL travel is starting to become a reality. Soooo it could be a possibility.
