5 supposed technologies or inventions that were suppressed.
I did know about Henry Ford and the hemp car but did not know about the water powered engine.

Medical technologies, suppressed so that docs become rich.
Believe

Well apparently they are working on self fertilization methods for females so perhaps the Asari were a glimpse at the future of the human race?

The hemp car would have been a good thing.

What an absolute madman

What an absolute madman

What an absolute madman
Is that bad or strange?
The hemp car would have been a good thing.
It would be. It would just not be cheap.
Maybe it would require production methods similar to carbon fiber cars. We're talking the most exclusive and expensive cars in the world.
Rolling, stamping, pressing and robot-welding steel plate is in the region of thousand times cheaper, for mass production.
Even if it could be made in a similar manner to glass fiber bodies, sprayed into a mold, which is a viable method for small series, steel is still cheaper. And for a car like that, you'd still need a frame. The body is just a cover.
Mayer and the water powered engine is just a fraud. Pretty crude fraud at that, which requires you to not understand even the basics of physics.
Much the same about Tesla. He just made outrageous claims for technologies which are very well known in modern times, and no secret at all. The problem is that they're ridiculously, abysmally inefficient, and there's no way to make them efficient, because it's a fundamental property of how they work.

Wow a really good sensible post on the BSN.. I've died and gone to the other side ![]()
Yeah the hemp car would not have been cheap by any means but if Henry Ford was telling the truth it would have been an amazing concept had it come to fruition.
I know about Mayer and his engine and am amazed that so many people think it's all legit. Same for the room temperature cold fusion nuts. Google a guy called Rossi and his E-Cat cold fusion device.
The man has been charged previously for fraud by the courts and such but persists with this nonsense. He and his supporters claim you can buy such a machine to power your home but no one ever has and none to date have actually shipped...

And yeah I know Teslas ideas while they might work would have been horrendously inefficient. But I still think he was pretty much a genius. He's one of my heroes.
