*** Right after I wrote this, I realized that the topic title should have been "New Game Mode Suggestion - Horde" ***
So, there have been good suggestions about this, and I think it deserves its own thread.
I liked the idea about it taking place in the Deep Roads.
Horde Mode (My take on it)
So, you've got your gear, you've got your promotions? Time for the end game challenge, and no, you can't win.
This mode is for prestige only. Progressing further unlocks customization options for auras, clothing, or whatever you think is cool.
Waves get progressively harder (duh), and eventually bosses are thrown in. Eventually waves become mixed with different factions and multiple different boss types. Finishing a certain amount of waves unlocks new prestige options to show off your character. This mode is purely for the fun and for the challenge.
There is no "last boss", as the waves will get progressively harder until you cannot win. This adds longevity to the game mode and challenge.
Other rewards? (not going to happen, but here it is) Reaching a certain stage will award you a lottery card. The card adds a certain bonus to one match, depending on which one you get, such as 1.5x xp, all chests automatically unlocked and awarded, all allies receive elemental damage to weapons, persistent 1%/s regen for the match, and so on. These cards would be more for fun and not game changing, and would be able to be obtained by players of all skill level.
Anyway, those are my ideas, and I think a horde mode would be great. More importantly, I believe there should be a final, end game test of strength, that cannot be won, but that can gradually be navigated through further with improved loot/promotions.
