My ongoing mission, to seek out BioWare response to this situation, once again was met with the harsh reality of silence during today's stream.

Now I'm sad. Gonna murder some dragon babies to become not-sad.

I saw them, I just try not to discuss anything we're unsure about on the stream. This is still being decided internally.

Cheers, Luke. At least knowing you're discussing it is something.

I'll add another reason to warp people to the flag.

NARNIA!

Had a game last night as a barrier singing Zither in a group with teammates without great defense abilities.  Battled all the way to the last wave, door opens.......yay, I am in narnia.

So of course the teammates run off to the flag but seeing as there is a cliff in front of me I cannot get over to them.  I had to just quit the game.

(Edit, only i could misspell the word 'add')...I even mispelled misspell but spell checker tuned me in.  Oh....also misspelled there as their.....I need help....

I was in a group where it seemed like two people kept falling to their deaths and get warped back a foot or so into their fall whenever they tried to exit the room to head to the flag. I was the host so after seeing that one person really wanted that exp and didn't exit the game like the keeper I chose to finally give up and let them host migrate.

It's interesting to have their point of view described. I wondered if they could see everything normally. Before the whole situation they were oddly warped to the door from behind me when I wasn't even at the door to call them there. I was climbing the steps in that room right before the font.

So if the weird empty hills screen is Narnia, what is it when you are still on the map but enemies aren't visible to you?

Any frustration aside..  I had to lol at that.  DAIMP sure does have its funny moments.

Yeah, that was a pretty harmless goof...

Edit: OT though, I also think that the "entire group needs to go to the flag" should go. I like that the font room is closed, it feels like we as a player base have become better since that changed. I remember when the font room crutch was first removed, we barely ever survived zone 5 and if we did it was a close call :P

But yeah, if two persons decide not to go over (hasn't happened to me) or you get stuck in Narnia and have to quit (has happened to me multiple times) it is annoying, and I also think that transporting the rest of the team to the flag circle would be a step in the right direction.

That vid though. 'HEY, COME HERE!' Oh, Rion. xD

There do seem to be a lot more holes on the FC map. I was concerned at first that falling through them would count against your death tally.

But back onto the flag thing. I do like not having to camp the font room all the time. On the one hand, I miss sending Samson down the stairs in Orlesian Chateau, but on the other hand...Staying out of the Hallway of Death in the Tevinter Ruins (which is still possible, sigh) more often than not is also nice. Though it really is annoying when someone being afk or leeching or...who-knows-what has the ability to prevent everyone else from finishing. This is especially annoying when you also encounter the bug where one person fails to load into the lobby. I would assume two votes could kick a third person, but if there are technically four people in a lobby and one person is messing around not heading for the flag, they're not going to kick themselves so you're stuck.

What about, when the first person reaches the flag, a countdown begins?  Then anyone not around the flag once the the countdown ends is auto-kicked.

Oh my god no. Why kick anybody?

If they don't reach the flag during the countdown, they're either AFK, trolling or having connection problems.

Ya, I like the countdown idea, but no need to kick lol

So what? It's unlikely anyone else will join during the fight and at least you have a sandbag to take some hits for you.

The word 'immersion' breaks my immersion. Other words that break immersion include "Dragon Age: Inquisition", "Click to continue", "Connecting to Dragon Age servers", "Multiplayer", and "Gather your party to plant the banner".

Biowaer pls.

The point isn't to free up a space; it's to start the fight when some players aren't moving to the flag, which is the problem in the OP.

So if I manage to put in the effort (and possibly carry) during the first four zones then I get a lag spike, I deserve to be kicked?

I've been running forward before and it took me about a minute and a half to reach the flag, which was right in front of the door on elven ruins.

Ended up in the fade within 45 seconds (perilous, couldn't move = deaded). Party wiped. I came out top of the leaderboard with an archer by over 2000 xp.

And teleporting solves that problem.
