Yes, I know. Although the studies linking saturated fats to cardiovascular diseases aren't fully conclusive. It's also funny when people smoke and drink and then suddendly care about the stuff they eat...

 

If the choice for frying meat is virgin olive oil or clarified butter, then I'd pick the butter every time.

 

Since I have a lot more options than that, I usually use peanut oil (excellent for Thai food), rapeseed oil or sunflower oil.

If you put it into hot oil in a pan, it's frying. At least I think so. Correct term would be sauté but I don't know many people who use that word.

When pan frying I use coconut oil.  But for my lemon-batter shrimp that isn't economical so I use rapeseed.

My Dorkyness knows no bounds...Last night, PERFECT example..I was hammered and felt like getting in some ME2 ..Threw in the disc...Hit Resume career..It said I had to re-Download ShadowBroker DLC/Arrival/Overlord/Kasumi DLCs...ALL of them..I was pissed.PISSED.  I started doing that, let the xbox do it over night..When I woke up this morning something strange appeared on the screen..Saying I had NEW Content Avail. to download?...What?..I bought all the DLC's 2 years ago....What is this madness?  There were DLC's/Weapon/Armor packages I never EVER heard of...I was excited..Started reading what they were...NEW Cerberus Armor/ Evicerator Shotgun available..?? What!!!!  New Heavy Weapon available..Arc Projector....<<<---What is that?..NEW Heavy Weapon   Avalanche ... I was the happiest little kid alive at that point ..BUT wait..there's more..NEW Character available..Zaeed....(Lost my mind)..I had purchased the Cerberus DLC along time ago but I never got him (he didnt come with my Collectors Edition either)  NEW Missions available..( I couldnt take it at this point..tears were forming)  Search The Wreckage of the Original Normandy..(Words just lost their meaning)   NEW MISSION  Locate the Hammerhead for Cerberus..... Needless to say people..My night is full..I will not be available to anybody until I sort through all this content.   (now if I can only get my hands on that Terminus Armor/ Black Hole Weapon)

I have played all three games multiple times. I have multiple copies of 2 and 3. I have at least two pieces of ME apparel in the house. I have at least one ME figure in the house, assuming it hasn't been repurposed by the kids or dog for something heinous. I have close to 3000 hours on multiplayer part of ME3 and a shitton of shitposts on BSN. My middle child has screamed "BIG MACHINE" when we were in traffic behind a combine before on the way to school. 

 

Can anyone top me in sad existence? Let's hear your dorkiest story about ME spilling over into RL.

Oh, did this too. Bought them all for 360. Bought 2 more LE Editions for 360. Bought ME2 for PC. Bought PS3 Trilogy. Bought Art Book. Downloaded the comic books.

I'm quite a casual gamer but ME2 is one of the few games where I just gotta complete everything. Lair of the Shadow Broker DLC is amazinggg. For ME3 I bought the Collector's Edition. The metal case is pretty neat  Except ya know.. the ending *cough*. And when people ask me what games do I play, I would always list ME... and if they're also an ME fan then they get a lot of brownie points

 

Our family friend (who's a non-gamer) also got a new pug doge and she asked me what I wanted to name it. I jokingly said 'Garrus' and now there's a pug doge named Garrus.

 

I'm sure RidiculousMammal will appreciate a pic of hairy and cuddly animal so here he is! He's grown a lot more now so I guess he's a fat Turian pug doge
