Miranda uses her assets to her advantage. At least thats her reason for wearing her sleezy outfit, to distract the opposition.

Our opposition are collectors.  I don't think they find her particularly distracting.

And still doesn't explain exposed skin in a damn vacuum.  Seriously, this just shows how far they've gone from their initial 'mostly kinda scientifically accurate' there was in ME1, if they don't bother to consider that breathing is not your biggest or most immediate concern if you find yourself exposed to hard vacuum.

Garrus was always more renegade than paragon. Hell come to think of it other than Tali and Jacob all the ME2 crew are renegade!

It's like he was stuck in a blender and turned into another Saren! Is there ANY way of keeping hm normal? Cause he was my favortie character in the first one. If this is the only way I can have him, I aint gonna use him...

If the same thing happened to you that happened to garrus, you'd be like saren too. Garrus was always a spectre at heart. Fits him quite well. I'm glad he learned from the best. Me, Evil Shepard ftw! I do what it takes to save the galaxy. I do things jack bauer style.

The design for the armour is kept that way for you to be able to see his entire face from certain angles and not just half of it, else he would look like he's popping out of a barrel.

As Garrus said, I like a man with scars. :) Besides, after the way he stuck up for me on Horizon when Kaiden acted like a dick, he's definitely a keeper. I wonder what will happen if the two should ever meet after Kaiden finds out my Shepard is a Turian-lover. I almost felt bad for Kaiden until he treated me so mean. Who gives a crap about his lame apology e-mail. Not my fault I was dead. He should have thought about that "something" we had before he accused Shepard of betraying him and saying "I'm an Alliance soldier. Always will be." Of course, Garrus, vigilante in war but awkward when it comes to love, has ever been my Shepard's choice since ME1, but she ended up with the loser when Garrus seemed completely oblivious to her "advances." xD

2 things I don't like about his looks:

1. The alternate looks (for loyalty) is also damaged. You need the DLC to get a repaired version... So he buys a damaged new armor?

2. I like his scars and I doubt he would do anything about it. I noticed his ME 2 character is pretty close to mine and I wouldn't care about such things... especially hunting reapers. I just wished he would remove those bandages because they ruin the dynamic of turian heads.

You're disgarding Garrus because he has a few scars? Your entire crew is sticking by you, and your face looks like a volcano.

I spent shiploads of platinum for a face fixer, he should use it. I'm not that much of a jerk where it is only for myself.

but but..if you spend EXTRA MONEY you can have Garrus don a new, undamaged, suit of armor!

.......yah the fact Garrus never changes out of that damaged armor is ****ing idiotic. The face scars I don't mind..the armor is bull****.

Yeah,  I saw the date, but I got a late start playing the second game for financial reasons. I wanted to make a new post and see if anyone else had any input. So you can blame me for that! :)

Anyway, I think it is assumed that the "new" damaged armor in the secondary appearance may be considered the armor "archangel" was actually wearing. the secondary armor is only an "alternate" appearance. Maybe artistic license. It could have been combinations of the original and enhanced versions of the character's armor, not something they buy. I noticed you unlock two alternate appearances per character's loyalty missions. Its just like any game. Take an old favorite, MK, for instance has alternate costumes for characters that you can input "Kodes" or beat stages to unlock. ME2 is pretty much the same in that regard. You do a loyalty mission, you unlock a costume. In any case, any open thread is fair game in my opinion. Keeps things fresh.

On a closing note: Garrus is still damn shmexy either way.

Interesting.

Samara is a renegade with a rulebook.
Mordin is a reluctant renegade, but renegade nonetheless.
Legion is hard to define, but you're probably right that it leans paragon.
Kasumi is paragon.  A criminal.  But paragon.
I'm not sure I buy the idea that Tali is paragon. She's not a straightforward paragon if she is.

I read a Game Informer article about ME2 several months ago. They were right about the characters and options in the game no longer being black or white. Every choice you make in the game can affect how other people relate to you, and the choices aren't always obvious. I really do wonder though, not that its going to change my LI, but why are the dialogue options to pursue Garrus always in the middle or the bottom instead of the top? It doesn't affect your Par/Ren stats. Why would telling him "Let's just be friends" be considered a Paragon choice if they obviously like each other?

The only true paragon in my game I think is Shepard. I only made one renegade comment by accident in ME2. Not sure how it came about but it didn't affect my stats because I started off with all those ME1 bonuses. Though in ME1, I think the only butthead thing I said was to Harkin hitting on my Shep in Chora's Den. "Call me princess again and you'll be picking your teeth off the floor."

Actually, I did let Garrus kill Sidonis.

Also I think that the way the ME1 characters (Garrus and Tali, L'iara Kaidan) have turned out are due to Shepard's death. Everyone who Shep talks to that knew her in the first game never hesitates to say how bad things went after she died. Without Shep, they went down a wayward path of sorts. I think Wrex is the only one from my original game who came ok. I gotta say second to Garrus, I was excited to see him again on Tuchanka. Ironic, huh, since Wrex was in a bad way in the first game. Shep made him see the error of his ways! :)

I like Garrus a lot more now. I thought Garrus in ME1 was bland, flat, and boring. I like how Joker put it, he pulled the stick out of his ass, and now he's beating people to death with it.

Garrus basically became Batman, which is awesome. He also grew a personality (something he lacked before), which is equally as awesome.

agreed

I'll third that, except I always liked Garrus. What he masked in personality he made up for with backbone. He always has Shep's back.

Here's what I find ironic. You help him go after the man who betrayed him and his team. He shoots "Fade" in the leg after the interrogation.  You set up Sidonis and Garrus blows him away. Then you, Thane, and he go talk to Bailey to start Thane's mission, Bailey tells you about Mouse and the Shepherd VI that says something like "I delete problems like you on the way to REAL errors" and Garrus says "That's a little extreme, commander" ... say what?

I had thought that whether or not you let Garrus kill Dr. Saleon was the deciding factor but i geuss it's what you say to him after it. In ME1 i told him to back down but later when he suggest that you just kill Saren when you catch him i agreed.

I was thinking of importing another ME1 save to see how his attitude changes if you convince him to go back to c-sec.

He winds up leaving anyway because of all the red tape.  He just got tired of it because it kept him from doing his job he felt.
