Interesting.
Samara is a renegade with a rulebook.
Mordin is a reluctant renegade, but renegade nonetheless.
Legion is hard to define, but you're probably right that it leans paragon.
Kasumi is paragon. A criminal. But paragon.
I'm not sure I buy the idea that Tali is paragon. She's not a straightforward paragon if she is.
I read a Game Informer article about ME2 several months ago. They were right about the characters and options in the game no longer being black or white. Every choice you make in the game can affect how other people relate to you, and the choices aren't always obvious. I really do wonder though, not that its going to change my LI, but why are the dialogue options to pursue Garrus always in the middle or the bottom instead of the top? It doesn't affect your Par/Ren stats. Why would telling him "Let's just be friends" be considered a Paragon choice if they obviously like each other?
The only true paragon in my game I think is Shepard. I only made one renegade comment by accident in ME2. Not sure how it came about but it didn't affect my stats because I started off with all those ME1 bonuses. Though in ME1, I think the only butthead thing I said was to Harkin hitting on my Shep in Chora's Den. "Call me princess again and you'll be picking your teeth off the floor."

Actually, I did let Garrus kill Sidonis.
