Am I the only one who sticks to guns and grenades? No "powers"?

You've got it all wrong. Pugs prefer melee at the start, which is why there are so many puggernauts, because it's the best melee kit.

I am out of likes to give. That makes me sad.

I'm still waiting for a real Quarian engineer. Not a tech mage with fire and ice spells.

Never been a big fan of spellcasting in any game, usually sticking to fundamentals.

In ME, I avoid biotics and "Thrown" spells like incinerate, cryo blast, overload, etc.

Like I usually just stick to a "Solid" single shot gun like the Mattock with a sidearm like that blood pack pistol, and some grenades for emergencies, then gun it, no pun intended.

I just overhauled my QFI into a straight soldier, abandoning Stealth for the time being (Mostly because its only good for the 4 hack objective, stalling during extraction, or acting as a damage buff, but no real use for actual stealth in this game.  Also because I was bored of stealthbuffing and wanted to play as a soldier but stay female quarian lol), and treating her like a standard Human soldier with guns and grenades (keeping sabotage because hacking is yes).

With the QFE I wind up never using fire or ice, focusing on sentry and firearms, then with Soldiers I usually forego (Or more honestly, forget about in the heat of the moment,) Adrenaline Rush and Marksmen.

I'm just more comfortable sticking to basics, and always have been.  Way back in Star Wars Battlefront I and II I would usually stick to basic soldier with rifle, pistol and grenades, ignoring the more exotic weapons and classes in favor of straight utility.  It paid off, back then I could handle any situation and never die because I had a practical class.  And while I don't top the scoreboards, I'm more comfortable with, and do better as a quarian "soldier" than when I try to focus on buffing every shot with Stealth, or trying to do tech/biotic explosions.

I know I'm probably in the minority here, but this is just what I like.  I usually bypass any biotic or tech powers, sticking more to stuff like grenades, tripmines, "standard" guns, etc.

When I remember its there, I do use adrenaline rush and marksman, but that's about it.  Not counting "armor" of course, which I always just leave on, never detonating for the damage or buff.

You and I would not get along...

I miss when grenades were powers, and not something Demolishers tried to hide from you.
